Advantages: A wonderful adaption of a classic story Disadvantages: A bit pricey, but worth it for fans
...I absolutely loved Charles Dickens BleakHouse when it was shown on tv, so was very excited when i bought the dvd so i could watch it all in one go! This 3disc edition is not like the specialedition, it does not have any extras (which would've been nice), but the episodes themselves are entertainment enough. They can't get in touch with the outside world at all, there is no TV and things are looking very bleak, but not as bleak as things are for Andy a gun-shop clerk/owner stuck a shor distance from the mall communicating with the group in the mall. He is all alone.
The film has some horrible images in it and some very jumpy scenes - I wouldn't like to watch this film in the house alone at night!
The cast are also very good with Vingh Rahmes in exceptionally good form as a quiet ex-marine cop who is the muscle of the group of survivors
The film is a little like the original but it is definately a good film in it's own right, not just as a re-make of what I personally believe to be a classic horror.
