leather-clad vampire slayers smash through walls and floors and ceilings break windows with their bodies and occasionally defy gravity. Cascades of flying glass sparkle in the air and crimson pools of blood shine on the floors of warehouse dens where the hungry creatures hide. This is BLADE: TRINITY the third installment of the film series adapted from Marvel comics. Here a new challenge faces the preternaturally sharp hunter Blade (Wesley Snipes) when a group of vamps resurrect the long-slumbering "Drake" (Dominic Purcell)--the ancient and all-powerful Count Dracula--and Blade meets the ultimate opponent. Teaming up with the Nightstalkers a group of similar-minded hunters led by tough slayer-hottie Abigail (Jessica Biel) and her joke-a-minute partner Hannibal (Ryan Reynolds) Blade is ready for battle. However Drake's handlers are an unruly bunch themselves with sassy goth wench Danica (Parker Posey in a wonderfully exaggerated performance) doing her best to make things as unpleasant as possible. What's more while Danica's vamp team is harvesting homeless people for their blood the Nightstalkers' scientist creates a potion that can not only kill Drake but can take the entire bloodsucking race with him. And thus David S. Goyer continues the BLADE cinema series satisfying fans with plenty of the nocturnal monster mystique they so desperately crave.

*****Film Overview*****
Wesley Snipes is back as the half man half vampire, born with the curse in which he fights against every day of his existence. His powerful moves and immortality being tested to the limits as he draws forth his razor-sharp weapons once again in and action packed third installment of the popular Blade movies.
Blade Trinity witnesses Blade once again attempt to save the world from destruction, yet this time he is working with part of a larger team of vampire hunters who call themselves the 'Nightstalkers', to hunt and kill the most powerful villain of all, Danca Talos.
Through this film, we do find out much more of what makes Blade tick, and follow him through some new and powerful emotions as Blade is lead right back to the beginning.
Joining Wesley Snipes is a brilliant cast, which includes Jessica Biel as Abigail, the daughter of Blades long term ally and friend Whistler, who has inherited the vampire-slaying duties from her father and Blade himself. Also joining the cast is Ryan Reynolds (National Lampoons) who plays the part of Hannibal King brilliantly.
Unfortunatly, as far as the film itself goes, this is where my plight to yell its greatness ends. Like many, I am always aware that when you watch a third installment of a film set, it will most probably not be a scratch on the first two, though with Blade Trinity I was bitterly disappointed to say the least.
Whilst it started off great, if not a little slow, the story just seemed to ramble aimlessly. Its story line seemed forced and did not produce the power like the other films. Don't get me wrong, I did not hate this film, yet it was not one I fell in love with either. Yes, the acting, as usual, was great. The characters, though, only consisted of some well rounded ones, and mainly characters which left me wondering what their purpose was.
The ending left me with a mix of feelings. I won't say too much as I hate those people who tell you the ending before you have even stuck the DVD into the player, but I will say one thing. Although its concept was a grand one, which left so much room for discussion, the way it was directed and put across to the audience became slightly confusing and left no real closure.
*****The DVD Overview*****
With anamorphic widescreen (16:9) and dolby digital sound, I can not complain in the slightest of the picture or sound. It lives up to the expectation of modern day films perfectly.
*****Extras****
One word to start of this portion. Wow! Although the film was not up to my expectations, it seems that they compensated for this drastically with the extras which can be found upon both disc one and two.
Disc One
* Widescreen extended version feature and widescreen theatrical feature - both good, yet explained more fully above.
* Commentary with writer/director/producer, David Goyer, other producers, Cinematographer and production designer - Interesting, yet not really helpful or informative as my view of the film was lower than expected anyway.
* Animated Menus - always a plus!
Disc 2
* Daywalkers, Nightstalkers and Familiars - Looking in depth into the world of Blade Trinity, covering backgrounds of the three main sections of characters. Quite informative and well recorded and one of the most interesting extras on these DVD's
* The Urban Vampire Story - The story development of Blade Trinity which helps the understanding of the story slightly
* The Familiar Leader - A look at the director and directing. You get to understand why some parts are created in a certain way, yet I didn't really appreciate this extra overly much.
* Fresh Blood - Some humerous moments from the casting
* Nightstalker Boot Camp - Cast training which is a very interesting viewing.
* From Tombs to Towers - Now this was interesting to creative minds like mine, as you saw the set creation and design.
* Dressed to Kill - Costume Design with some interesting choices and ideas
* UV Lighting - A look at the cinematography aspect.
* Beyond the Basics - A must if you are an obsessed fan, as this takes you further into the world of Vampires and the myth
* Siver Swords and Sundogs - A very interesting look into designing the weapons within this film.
* Creating Mayhem - A brilliant look at the stunts and action within the film.
* Sword Against Celluloid - A partly interesting, yet short, look at the editing
* The Perfect Ash - Worth watching if you are into visual effects
* The Beat of Blade - The music from the film. A nice selection, yet not overly interesting personally
* The Sounds of Slaying - A partly interesting look at the sound creation
* The Colour of Blood - Showing how they enhanced the colours in the film. Slightly interesting, though I felt it was a unworthy add-on
* Who Shall Die - The future of Blade - an extremely interesting watch!
* Goyer on Goyer - An interview with the director
* Alternate ending - Actually very interesting to watch. I was unsure which I prefered
* Blooper Reel - Your DVD isn't complete without one of these!
* Galleries - An interesting collection
* Trailer - If you've seen the film, I don't see the point, but it is there anyway!

*****Overview*****
Overall, I am glad that I have seen this DVD, if not for the film, for the wide range of extras. It may surprise you, but I would recommend this to potential buyers, especially if you are a fan of the Blade series as it mostly completes the package and answers some questions which were left open in the past two films. Just be open minded that sequels rarely live up to your original expectations!
Advantages: Excellent addition to the series Disadvantages: maybe the last of the series
...the fine tradition of the blade series, casually mixing action, with legend, with dead pan humour.
In this addition blade (wesley snipes) is now being hunted by not only his old enemies the vampires but also the FBI after being set up for murder. Add to this losing his old mentor and friend whistler (Kris Kristofferson in nothing more than a cameo) and the fact that the vampires has resurected the original vampire and father of the them all - Drake ... ...who have operated separately to blade and now come to his rescue.
Leading this young heros is Whistlers illegitimate daughter (has to be illegitimate to avoid continuity error with Whistler's back story) called Abigale and played by Jessica Biel. She is a seriously badass chick and could give Legolas a run for his money with the bow. The other main Nightstalker is Hannibal KIng, who had a short run in the blade comic series. Here he is played with ...

Advantages: its a fangtastic (get it) film Disadvantages: Cant think of any
The extended version of Blade Trinity. Well what can i say about this film. Its great, just fantastic (wasnt going to use the same joke twice in one review)
This time round Blade (Wesley Snipes) Teams up with Abigail the daughter of Whistler (Kris Kristofferson) and Hannibal King (Ryan Renolds) Known collectivley as the Nightstalkers. To fight the vampires, who are attempting to awaken Dracula from his 500 year sleep.
There is of course the usual ... ...one stroke. (oh what will Blade do for employment then)
Not only this but in this film there are some outstanding car chases. Including a car being driven off the back of a moving lorry.
Blade comes out with his usual sneering one liners, but is more than matched by Hannibal King and some of his, sometimes very strange, but funny remarks. Most of which i cant repeat on a family site like this. However do look out for the look on his face when confronted ...

Advantages: Great special effects, not many breaks in action Disadvantages: poor storyline, its been used over and over
Blade trintity falls short of the previous instalments into the trilogy as blade is somewhat limited in power in diffrent scenes of film one minute hes killing all in sight man or beast then the next minute hes being captured by a small group of policmen fbi guys?
To get rid of Blade once and for all, a group of vampires led by the dark Danica Talos both publicly frames Blade as a murderer, and awakens Drake the oldest of all the vampires,(dracula?) ... ...FBI raid on their hideout, Blade is forced to join the Nightstalkers a gang of fighter vampires who are being led by the late Whistler's daughter Abigail and the misforunate Hannibal King. The vampires are experimenting with Drake's blood as part of their plan but the Nightstalkers in turn are developing a biological weapon that could wipe out the entire vampire race. The only problem is that this vampire virus requires a sample of Drake's pure blood, ...

Advantages: Really funny and the effects are as stunning as ever Disadvantages: Doesn't really reflect the atmosphere of the first 2 films
Blade Trinity is the follow-on from "Blade 2" and it does that well. The storyline is less complex than the second however it is packed with comedy value due to Ryan Reynolds. Like the first this movie is non-stop action from start to finish and the best guy was picked for the character, Snipes pulls off the cool and collected, yet slightly psychotic charcter unbelieveably well and also adds some comedy value to the role. The action scenes are extremely ... ...This is a must see movie on its own if you liked the first or even if you didn't watch the others. This movie only lacks some background on the characters and then it could have been a whole new set of films as it is unlike the other two and is more of an action-comedy than a continuation of the series. ...
