Finally, the BBC has released Blackadder onto DVD. Just like some of the new DVDs from the BBC (The planets and Walking with Dinosars) the quality of this is unrivalled.
The first Blackadder Series is set in the Medieval ages and is often the episodes that you may have missed as they seem to be the least replayed on television. They are not as good as the episodes from Season 2 set in the trenches however they are still teribly funny and certainly a decent addition to your collection.
The quality of the DVD itself is acceptable. Old television series do not seem to go to DVD that easily and there is certanly nothing outstanding about this transfer however it is still far superior to VHS!
