...A doctor discovers a claw in the rock whilst digging in the Amazon. He gathers a group of people from the institute and they set about trying to uncover the mystery. They find an aquatic man with gills and fins living in the lagoon. After people keep getting knocked off they manage to drug the creature and capture it. But it escapes and blocks the way out of the lagoon. There is a battle as they try to remove the blockade the creature has built and the creature kidnaps the women.
The costume for the creature is really well made and some of the underwater scenes are fantastic, this is a superb movie and definitely one of the better ones from the era....

Advantages: Excellent screenplay, high quality acting and brilliant visual effects! Disadvantages: The only disadvantage is that it has taken too long for Kill Bill VOL.2 to be released. Also concentration must be kept to keep up with the fast paced action.
...Kill Bill VOL.1 is and exciting, high paced, gory killing spree. After recovering from being shot in the head at her own wedding, Black Mamba (Uma Thurman) is intent on revenge and that means killing eveyone in her path who wronged her.
Vivid colour and amazing martial arts are used ingeniously in the action packed fighting scenes along with cartoon like deaths. Includes blood baths, limb amputation and good old fashioned rioting, However, this masterpiece also excells in the serious areas too, such as the hospital scene with Black Mamba.
A brilliant start to a two part film, with such great charcters and interesting and hillarious storyline, it leaves you asking the question, when will the next one be here?...

Advantages: An excellent rip-roaring conclusion to an excellent first part, Tarantino at his best.Pure genius in celluloid. Disadvantages: A shame there is not a 3rd part to this movie.
...When Tarantino released Kill Bill Vol1, it was met with wide acclaim, some positive some not so positive, claiming he had just made a bloodfest and was into shocking people, true the original movie was graphic in parts but I believe it paved the way for Vol2.
In Vol1. we see that the charcter played by Uma Thurman has been wronged (to put it mildly) and is merely exacting her perceived revenge for the loss of her child and nearly her life but we know little of the depths of the charcaters.
In Vol 2. we get more in depth information relating to the characters in the movie, and we get the cataclysmic ending that just the movie justice.
Vol1 was the jammy sponge for the film and Vol 2 is most definitely the icing and decorations.
In both movies we have excellent acting, scripting and direction (as we have come to expect from...
