INTRODUCTION
For a relatively new kid on the block, Shia LeBeouf seems to be cropping up in a fair few films these days. First he was being mothered by Carrie-Ann Moss in Disturbia, then hanging out with a bunch of robots and Megan Fox in Transformers, after which he was swanning about with aliens and that creaky old bloke with the whip and Fedora in the latest Indy instalment, and now he gets to spend a whole film in close proximity to Michelle Monaghan. Some guys get all the luck. I want his job. I was in the DVD store, casting about for a decent actioner to take home for the extended family to watch (my in-laws have a projector and I was looking for ?big screen? material for movie night) when Eagle Eye caught my attention. I don?t usually rent films without knowing anything about them, but the cover blurb was intriguing ...

Advantages: Hell finally did freeze over thank God! Disadvantages: None
It was the biggest question for years, will they or wont they?Im truly glad they finally did get back together and they did it with a bang.
The dvd begins with short interviews with the band members, who were excited but very tense at the prospect of performing live again after so long. There were so many things to be rehearsed,They had an orchestra that were not quite getting the drift on one song which didnt help the overall atmosphere, plus when they rehearsed their harmonies, even though they sounded amazing, they werent up to The Eagles standards.

When they took to ...
Advantages: Excellent NZ comedy Disadvantages: Not enough of it around
Lily: How did you find out where I live?
Jarrod: I got my flatmate to ring up your work. Tell them it was an emergency. You probably shouldn't go in there, they think you're dead
SO how many independent film comedies from New Zealand have you seen and how many of them have been any good? Exactly. In fact how many NZ films have you seen apart from Once Were Warriors? The Lord of the Rings trilogy doesn't count. Well the Eagle and the Shark is one you should see and very funny too. It's geeky in the that traditional Napoleon Dynamite sort of way, the laughs subtle and then not so subtle, a good giggle on offer at all those oddball characters from all the other movies in this genre you have seen.
Lily: I have two things to say. One: I am leaving tomorrow on a bus. Two: that could change.
