Advantages: Provides a comparison with his better movies. Disadvantages: Plenty.
...If Steven Seagal really was under pressure from the Mob to make this and all the other later disastrous films in his career, I suppose he can't be blamed for putting on the pounds and taking on a 'who cares?' attitude. His earlier films have the stamp of well-choregraphed high action, realistic and slickly done. The plots might be pretty predictable, but if you were looking for a good testosterone charged action thriller, Steven Seagal could deliver. There was frequently an ecological message being delivered about how man is ruining the planet, so a spiritual message was often contained in a Seagal film, which was good if subtly given, but a little preachy if not. The main issue here is that Seagal's first movies were some of the best action productions with a spiritual message tagged on somewhere, whereas most of his latest ones have...

Advantages: Brandon Lee's bset film Disadvantages: Brandon Lee's last film
...Brandon Lee is most know for his film "The Crow" which was made in 1994. This was his very last film as he was tragically killed on set with a gun that everybody thought had blanks in them. It turns outthat one was a live round.
The film starts on Devils night October 30th and is about a rock guitarist Eric Draven (Brandon lee) and his new bride to be Shelly who are beaten and killed by a gang of thugs intent on causing chaos and murder on Devils night. Eric is killed by being shot and then thrown out of his top window.
The film actually starts by the police arriving on the scene after this has happened and during taking Shelly away in the ambulance before she dies she tells them to look after Sarah. (who the couple used to look after)
You then see a grave opening in the mud and rain with a crow sitting on the tombstone of Eric...

Advantages: Classic Hitchcock - I can say no more !! Disadvantages: None
...customer (Alfred Hitchcock in his customary cameo role) being pulled along by a pair of terriers (Hitchcock's own dogs Geoffrey and Stanley)
A chance meeting with solicitor Mitch Brenner (portrayed by Rod Taylor) in this shop, where he pretends not to know her (the part she is playing is a 60's Paris Hilton type character) leaves her eager play a trick on him. She orders two lovebirds and sets out to deliver them to the coastal town of Bodega Bay, where Mitch spends the weekends with his young sister and mother (Jessica Tandy). Shortly after she arrives, Melanie is attacked by a gull, but this is just the start of a series of attacks by an increasing number of birds.
The way that Hitchcock keeps the viewer engrossed with playful little hints even though the first real attack doesn't come until around the film's halfway point is wonderful...
