Advantages: Great eye opener to big wave surfing Disadvantages: It is a bit comercial
BILLABONG ODYSSEY
To start off with I would like to say that I am not normally Billagongs biggest fan. I fell the are making a lot of money selling over priced clothing by using surfings image. However I would have to admit they make a good film.
There are some people in this country who think surfing is a bit sissy, (normally skaters). This film will make them realise that there is a lot more to surfing than they think and even on a general scale is probably the most dangerous sport due to the unreliability and power of the sea.

Advantages: Comfortably made Disadvantages: Confusing plot
the guilty party in the film and who isn't, even at the end, and this I find rather annoying.
The film kept me entertained all the way through, and I was impressed with Noyce's direction. The scenery was well used, particularly with the Colombian scenes, and the whole ensemble of the film is typical of a Tom Clancy tale - tell everyone what's going on, then tell them something different and light some fireworks.
