OK first thing to say about this film is that it stars Adam Sandler and I know for a fact that he's not everyone's cup of tea. So if you're one of the people who hate Adam Sandler avoid this film. If however like me you like him you'll love Big Daddy. The basic plot is that Sandler is living off a big insurance claim from when his foot got run over. His girlfriend (played by Kirstie Swanson of Buffy fame) thinks he needs to become more responsible or she's going to leave him. Low and behold this kid turns up on his door step one day who actual belongs to a housemate but Sandler decides to adopt him to show how responsible he is. His girlfriend still leaves him and he's stuck with the kid. You can probably fill in the blanks as the story line is predictable but that's not really the point of the film.
Like I said, if you like Sandler you'll enjoy this film. If you don't like him stay away.
