this programme is great.... i seem to spend most of my time watching kids programmes these days, but i am kind of getting used to it..
This one really consists of two cooks, one is the main chef.. he is a normal sized adult and does all the cooking, and some really daft dancing, the other is a small helper cook, he is about the size of a small doll, and he does all the mixing and singing and some more daft dancing.. which really makes me giggle when they are both at it...
The main cook is really good at letting the children no what they are going to make and making it sound fun.. makes me want to cook... he he... and the little one as the food is cooking goes on his flying spoon and travels around looking for interesting things... for example one day he flew to a farm to see where the eggs came from and how they got in to the shops... so really good info the kids... covers most questions that your children will ask about cooking... plus the bigger of the two cooks makes a point of saying "now we will put it in the oven , get a grown up to help as this is Hot Hot Hot!!!" which i think is great as my nephew always points at the oven now (aged three) and say Hot Hot Hot... so even if he does not realise it he is learning from the show...
there are books out with the same characters in which show easy things for kids to bake and even cold stuff to make and ways of making the food look good, by making a sandwich in to a house and a pudding in to a train... making food interesting is the hardest thing.. and making then eat it is even harder... so any help from silly little characters is good for me....
get the kids watching it.. its great fun.. and the songs are daft but get the kids signing along... very colourful and very informative...
great, well done you two cooks...
thanks for reading..

The children love this, although some of the recipes seem a little strange to us. Good review.

I think they often try to feature healthy foods as well. What were they cooking on this DVD?, how many episodes do you get and how long does it last for?

I can't stand this duo but they must be doing something right as our lot absolutely love them!! Good review
Big Cook Ben and Little Cook Small hope you will enjoy their second brilliant DVD ... more
featuring four special episodes. Footballer: Franco the Footballer visits the cafe and Small enjoys playing football even though it's almost as big as him! Small find...
