A Bit Be Bloopered Review ofBewitched - Series 4 - Complete (Box Set)by
Shroud
Advantages: quality acting, many fine scripts Disadvantages: a couple of episodes to regret, last series with Aunt Clara, no extras
Season four of this perennial family favourite is where the storylines began to undergo more experimentation. Mostly the result was good, but there are a few clinkers when compared to the brilliance of the other episodes, though none are painfully bad and unwatchable. Many fans hold this season as their favourite, as Serena makes many more appearances, as does Dr Bombay, Aunt Clara is still knocking about, and Tabitha begins exhibiting her powers ... ...chemistry between actors Dick York and Elizabeth Montgomery made this a joy to watch and the young twins playing Tabitha acted with a sweet naturalness sadly missed by many TV child stars today. With her feet now firmly wet from the previous season, the new Gladys Kravitz gets to dig into her role more deeply, and we see a return to the flighty, flaky Gladys that we had known and loved so much. Memorable highlights for this season are:

A bewitching watch! Review ofBewitched - Series 4 - Complete (Box Set)by
sjc1985
Advantages: Funny, everything you expect from this classic. Disadvantages: No extras.
...what can I say about Bewitched season 4? Besides it is one the most classic tv series ever to grace dvd!
Elizabeth Montgomery stars as Samantha Stevens, a 30 something housewife with a lovely daughter, Tabatha and a successful advertising husband, Darrin. Oh, and one other thing.. Shes a witch.
This season is funny, like usual but certainly not among my favourite season of them all. You see a lot more of Aunt Clara, Samanthas loveable but slightly ... ...more of Tabithas witchcraft and the mischief she is starting to cause coming out. Theres a lot of Stephens\' fighting but without that it wouldnt be as funny.
There are no extras to this boxset though which I think is a shame, to me, the extras can sometimes make the difference between a good boxset and a great boxset!
Either way, it is definately a good addition to ANYONES collection.
Here is a quick run down of the episodes:

DVD Description
Elizabeth Montgomery plays Samantha, a witch who trades in her magical powers for marriage--or tries to, anyway--in this classic sitcom from the 1960s. A witch who inherited her powers from her feisty mother Endora (Agnes Moorhead), Samantha agrees not to use her powers anymore when she decides to marry mere mortal Darrin Stephens (Dick York)--both of which actions disappoint her mother greatly. Not to worry, though, because most of the time Samantha just can't help herself, using her magic and creating many a hilariously sticky situation for Darrin, especially with his boss, Larry Tate (David White). This collection contains all the episodes from the fourth series.
