Director: Dennis Dugan.
Producers: Brad Krevoy, Bradley Jenkel and Steven Stabler
Writers: Mitchell Klebanoff and Mark Feldberg
Stars: Chris Farley, Nicollette Sheridan, Nathaniel Parker, Robin Shou, Soon-Tek Oh, Keith Cooke and Chris Rock.

Released in early 1997 this hour and twenty minute introduces the world to what can only be described as the biggest and clumsiest ninja in the history of man…?

**BRIEF PLOT**

When a chest is washed up on the shore it is found by a small family of ninja… inside the chest is a baby who the ninjas believe is the new prophecy which their legend speaks of…. The legend says that a foreigner would appear and become the next ninja master…

As the years pass and the boy, now called Haru, the White Ninja, (played by Chris Farley) grows up and is not quite what the Ninjas expected… in fact he is turning out to be a much bigger problem than first thought..

Haru is far from the perfect Ninja that the legend stated but his heart is in the right place and he's constantly trying to be the best he can be…

The troubles really begin when Haru is left to guard the temple whilst the 'real' Ninjas go on a mission, when a mystery blond woman, Sally Jones, (played by Nicollette Sheridan) turns up looking for help.

When Haru begins to help Sally it is not long before things get really confusing for Haru and the other Ninjas…forcing Haru to head to Beverly Hill in the hope of helping Sally and clearing the bad name he has given the Ninjas…

With the temples Sensei, (played by Soon-Tek Oh) fearing for Herus safety he decides to send Gobia, (played by Robin Shou), his top Ninja, to discretely watch over him… which is a lot harder than first thought.

**CHARACTERS**

Chris Farley as Haru
Nicollette Sheridan as Sally Jones/ Allison Page
Robin Shou as Gobei
Chris Rock as Joey
Soon-Tek Oh as Sensei
Keith Cooke as Nobu

**IN CONCLUSION**

A fantastically hilarious movie with what seems like the funniest ninja ever…

Although the story is nothing new, (being one of the good guy clumsily saves damsel in distress from bad guy format…) it is the comical factor and the hilarious fight sequences which puts this movie into a class of its own…

Chris Farley plays the slightly over weight White Ninja brilliantly with his excellent acting skills and comical behaviour….
Then when he becomes friends with Joey, (played by the hilarious Chris Rock), teaching him some Ninja moves… albeit badly … the laughter simply rolls on and on… especially when the unfortunate Robin Shou, with his brilliant fighting skills, has to secretly protect the rather inept White Ninja….

To watch a 'very plump' man throwing himself around like a gymnast is not something that can ever be taken seriously and in this movie you can understand why…

Would I recommend this…?

Yes…I definitely would…
It is one of the silliest and funniest movie I have sat and watched for a long time. I couldn't contain my laughter when I watched this… finding the clumsiness of Farley, as he tried his best to be a Ninja, so side splittingly funny that at some points I was in fear of leaking, (and not from my eyes)…

It is a good enough tale to tell and with a bit of a twist to the story, it unfolds perfectly, giving the viewer a happy feeling with-in..

I would have to give this one a 10 out of 10 simply for the stupidity of the story and the brilliance of the acting….
