Introduction ==========
Some members will remember me writing about Beverley Callard in her Real Results DVD, well since I have got back into my fitness I wanted a DVD workout that would not be an hour long.
For me Beverley Callard was an obvious choice because I know her workouts give the results but is also easy to pick up the routine and this Ultimate Results DVD has three 20-minute workouts.
Workout One ===========
The warm-up is first and you are stood up during this.
The first workout mainly focuses on your upper body and stomach. You first start with the upper body so you are stood on your feet and you work the back, shoulders, chest and arms. You can use weights if you want too.
To work the stomach you will be on the floor to do this and you will need a mat to lie on. Weights can also be used.
The cool down is also done on the mat laying down and then moving into a seated position.
Workout Two ===========
Once again the warm-up is done first and you are stood up right the whole time.
The second workout is focused on your bottom, thighs and stomach. Once you have completed the warm-up you will need you mat straight away to work the bottom. Ankle weights can be used.
The cool down is also performed on the mat.
Workout Three ============
This is the only workout on this DVD that is all done in an up right position. The warm-up is done before getting down to the real work.
The third and final workout is a real workout for you bottom, hips and thighs. For this workout you do not need a mat but can you hand and ankle weights if required.
The cool down is done standing up as well.
Extras ======
The only helpful extra on this DVD is that you can scene select or in this case workout select. However on Workout One Beverley Callard talks at the beginning which you cannot skip but can fast forward, it is only a couple of minutes long.
My Opinion ==========
I have been using this DVD for about a month and I must admit the woman is now getting on my nerves but the routine is good and with it being only 20 minutes per workout it is quick to do.
These workouts are designed to work on the problem areas of our bodies so therefore are more toning than aerobic but I am being to see the results as I am becoming more toned.
As this is inch loss rather than weight loss you may want to find something that is a bit more energetic to accompany this DVD, I get my aerobic workout at work, running around a residential home is a great way to lose weight.
Overview ========
I really like these workouts and have found that they will be giving me the ultimate results that I want for my body it is just going to take a little more time to achieve it. The routines are easy to pick up; I learnt them after about 3 times around each workout.
You also get a little booklet called the Results Booklet, which has some interesting information on your bones, diseases and muscles. There are also some recipes for healthy meals but I have not tired these as yet, might do one day. The 20 ways to cut down on fat was very useful and there is a guide to vitamins but the best thing about this booklet was on the back page. The target weight chart on the back page was very useful as to what weight I should be aiming for my height, I still have a way to go yet.
I bought this DVD from Adsa for £9.99, which is very good, value considering I use it nearly everyday for at least one workout. If you are a beginner at these workouts Beverley Callard is a very good way to go because (as annoying as she is) she does explains everything well.
Thanks for reading.
