set after the events of the rest of the anime and acts as a salute to the Manga more than anything. The last episode takes place in a sort of hell dimension and basically everything about this episode comes as a complete shock to the senses! The music unfortunately isn't worth a separate section. The opening theme is good and catchy but the actual music wasn't powerful enough for me. Had this anime been driven a bit more by music it would have made it exceptional rather than just good!
Cost
I paid £16.99 for the entire season off Ebay. This particular box set is called "Berserk the perfect collection". It comes from another country but works all the same and the save you loads. The single volume editions give you four episodes each and will cost you anything from £5 to £10. I do not think the anime is good enough to warrant that ...

This 3 pack DVD has two great blockbusters from the Golden era namely Chhalia (1960)and China Town(1962), although the other film Dayar-E-Madina , a muslim social relatively little known..
Chhalia has an impressive star cast of Raj Kapoor, Nutan, Rehman and Pran ,and an equally impressive music score by composers Kalyanji Anandji.
Chhalia is by no means one of Nutan's best films, in fact it compares poorly with the Raj kapoor-Nutan starrer 'Anadi' ...the story line is a bit complicated at times, with too many twists and turns...but the music is pleasing especially Mukesh songs'Dum dum diga diga ' 'Chalia mera naam and 'Mere toote hue dil mein.. and Lata's 'Tere rahon mein khade hai ' and 'Baje paayal cham cham'....worth watching a great actress like Nutan in any film, and picturisation of the melodious songs...

If you were a disfunctional teen in the 80's, black walls probably made you calm, miserable music might of jump started your day or even the The Mission gave your head something to think about in those mid 80's.
then came Berserker.
Human League, John Foxx, Depeche Mode, jean Michel-Jarre, Heaven 17 all have feint echos on this album, thir synthetc sounds, angular beats, drum machines, strange sounds all combining into a well preserved album whch has not showed any signs of aging except for a couple of elements.
There are sone very poweful tracks on this album, if you are missing the 80's that is, Berserker (single), This Is New Love, My Dying Machine (single), Pump It Up, The God Film, The Hunter are all very prominent and favourable tracks.
That's 6 out of the 8 album tracks that are so retro in sound yet so crisp and clean cut ...

DVD Description
The castle town of Midland has seen the rise of a wicked king, and with him a powerful military force. Known as the Band of the Hawk, these soldiers are mercenaries led by two experienced and charismatic warriors, Griffith and Guts. Unfortunately, since the Hawk has grown powerful, many of the King's associates are plotting against them, compromising their ability to fight the war against the province of Chuda, with whom Midland has been at war for years. In these episodes, Griffith and Guts have at last fought to victory, prompting Guts to make it known he wishes to move on. Unfortunately, Griffith reminds him of the promise he made three years ago, forcing a climactic duel. Contains episodes 18-21.
