Advantages: Talking dog, great plots Disadvantages: Not for everyone
...Also called Corneil and Bernie, this cartoon series is about a dog called Corniel and his dog sitter, Bernie.
Corneil is a very unique dog...he can talk. and he's a genius. Bernie is the only other person who knows he can talk and keeps it a secret. Corneil just wants to lead an ordinary, relaxing dog life but Bernie is immature and gets Corneil into a whole load of things. Each episode is cleverly written and usually ends up with Corneil turning the tables and getting back at Bernie.
I enjoy watching the cartoon on TV and I think it has the best theme song for a cartoon ever...so I ordered the DVD. For only £13 it is well worth the money. Included are 13 episodes.
The DVD includes exclusive wallpaper, screensavers and flash games. The flash games also include the source code files which I found surprising. Also included are two MP3s...

Advantages: Hour Of Non-Stop Laughing Disadvantages: Hard To Buy

Advantages: A sweet, self-deprecating family comedy Disadvantages: Some of the characters are a little one-dimensional
...that entertains throughout its ninety-four minute running time and you don't have to be Jewish to find it amusing.
The screenplay by first-timers Bridget O'Connor and Peter Straughan is an affectionate piece of writing that manages to nail the selfishness of youth without making Bernie a hateful character. I think the key to this is their use of humour that manages to wring a gag out of just about every situation in the catalogue of misfortunes that is the Reuben family's life. A large part of this is down to the often wry narration by Bernie. It helps to engage you with him because you understand where all the pent-up frustration is coming from. You also get to see the mental film of his ideal bar mitzvah. So you know what his ambitions are and can understand why the family's diminishing circumstances feel like a personal affront. When it comes...
