and here in Waqt we have him as the father of a similar character. At 6'3" he's a tall guy and casting Kumar as his son was quite clever as he's pretty tall too!
Shefali Shah as the doting wife of Bachchan and concerned mother of Kumar was quite adept in her role. I don't recall seeing her in a film before, she did look rather young to have a grown up soon but I guess that's makeup for you.
Boman Irani as Chopra's father was highly amusing. I've seen him in several films and he does comedy very well. In Waqt I saw a serious side to him which made a pleasant change as well as it being very believable.

've decided to include some extra DVD featurettes and songs on the end for kiddies to enjoy. You get a menu with options including sing-a-long and read along with Littlefoot and also an exclusive interview with Olivia Newton John as she records the sensational tune 'best of friends' for this film.
Overall a 4 star rating, and a really good storyline. For those of you who've been following the movies so intently and remember the frst where his mother dies, have probably also been wondering where his dad went. I love this film, it's so cute and happy/ sad at same time that they finally get reunited after 10 films! As regards graphics - still pretty basic, however sound has improved from the VHS series, but the colour blurring hasn't really been changed much. A shame really as 'we have the technology'. But still the storyline is great ...
