A weird and wonderful film with fantastic performances by all, especially Cameron Diaz (it took me a long time to recognise her). Poses some great questions about love and existence. Is it the soul of a person that we love or the physical person? The puppets are beautiful and the sets are magnificent. Once you have seen this film you will not forget it, unlike so many other films. You cannot forget the 5 1/2th floor, with staff bent double all day. The love triangle is sad and funny at the same time. Having never liked John Malkovich before watching this film - I felt terribly sorry for him being used as a pawn in the bizarre love affair between the 3 main characters.
Very thought provoking, funny, sad, and above all very, very weird. Unmissable and unforgettable.
