naturally, the Commandos), all with their own sets of skills, strengths and weaknesses. The game throws a monkey wrench into standard real-time strategy conventions by eschewing such typical features as resource accumulation and unit creation. Pyro Studios and Eidos Interactive, in changing the way real-time strategy games are played, have moulded Commandos: BEL into a far more tactical and strategic game than its competitors in the genre. Featuring 24 World War II-based missions, which take place in a variety of locations--including deserts, dams and snow-covered terrain--Commandos: BEL offers a wide variety of mission objectives, with gameplay emphasising the dynamics between the six commandos. For instance, Tread's skills lie in driving, Spooky carries disguises and spy equipment for infiltration missions and Fins works best in the comfort of water. Stealth techniques dominate most missions; a handy line-of-sight display confirms whether your commandos are hidden from view. In some missions, alerting enemy guards could prove costly. In others, though, offensive tactics provide the greatest--and easiest--success. The diverse strategies employed in Commandos: BEL create a unique and rewarding gaming experience.--Doug Radcliffe
...I really like this DVD, bought mine last year. Basically, I am a fan of any special forces that exist in the world and my favorite would be the SAS (Special Air Service). Inside the DVD, they will reveal all the tricks of the trade including the five S's of camouflage: shape, shine, shadow, silhouette and spacing. From surviving hostage situations to coping with brutal interrogations and torture the team show off their skills. Find out how to set up a covert observation post, learn the secrets of firepower tactics or just pick up some tips on how to escape and how to evade the enemy.I also like the style they make this story, using a series of mini-dramas and reconstructions on the ins and outs of survival techniques taught to the elite group, which to me, seems really realistic.
For those who bought this DVD, I would also recommend...

Actor(s): Gene Hackman, Owen Wilson, Gabriel Macht, Joaquim De Almeida, Charles Malik Whitfield, David Keith, Vladimir Mashkov, Olek Krupa
Director(s): John Moore
Genre: War
Classification: TBA
Production Year: 2001
Plot: On a reconnaissance flight over eastern Europe, disillusioned naval pilot Chris Burnett (Owen Wilson) and his partner, Stackhouse (Gabriel Macht), photograph a scene they were not meant to see. When their plane is shot down and Stackhouse is quickly captured and executed, Burnett must struggle to survive in unfamiliar hostile territory with a cold-blooded assassin and hundreds of enemy troops on his heels. Meanwhile, on an American battleship in the Adriatic Sea, Burnett's commanding officer, Admiral Reigart (Gene Hackman), attempts to negotiate his soldier's return amidst tense political and military manoeuvres. Soon Burnett discovers exactly why he's being hunted, making his situation and Reigert's actions even more perilous. Benefiting from Wilson's straightforward performance and Hackman's typically engaging presence, BEHIND ENEMY LINES proves itself with a solid story (loosely based on real-life events) and excellent action sequences. Shot in a cold, icy light, John Moore's film features a nail-biting aerial chase, a tense race across a grenade-filled wasteland, and a stunningly explosive final battle. Wilson, typically cast in quirky comedic roles, is an unlikely action hero who turns out to be the movie's secret weapon. By avoiding excessive macho posturing, BEHIND ENEMY LINES is smarter, more exciting, and better looking than most Hollywood military thrillers.

...Awesome movie, spectacular scenery, wonderful story line, real life event portrayed in a great way. Must see for war fans. Follows pretty true to the book. Russian hero made famous for following the ways of wild taught by his Grand father in pre-war Russia. The hunters become the hunted as this sniper picks his prey and demolishes the Nazi army one officer at a time. Other movies such as Sniper and Behindenemylines have been able to show war in modern movies like this did. Can watch it a dozen times and always catch something new and never tire of seeing it. I would suggest anyone who likes a war movie to pick this up as soon as possible and watch it on the biggest tv they can find....
