Advantages: Unusual comedy with fantastic visual effects
Disadvantages: Won't appeal to people who dislike originality and surreal humour

Advantages: Very funny well acted, scary in parts.
Disadvantages: not for kids, a bit short. hard to find in the shops.

...like something out of the 1970's 'B' movie era when you see the badly laid out dodgy cut outs and corrugated cardboard scenery, but as this was deliberately made this way for the movie then it does add to the comical aspect. ...film like this requires you to suspend disbelief to enjoy it and Keatons acting goes a long way to accomplish this. Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin also bring up the goods as the reluctant ghosts while Catherine O'Hara is easily hateable as Delia as is her interior designer/psychic/yes man Otho, played by Glenn Shadix.
