firstBeastfilm, as they reassembled the former cast and spent some cash on production and tune-smithing for this straight-to-video effort. The events unfold between the time in the first film where Belle bartered herself to the Beast and her later return to the village to save her father. So the Beast's heart still hasn't been melted yet and he's susceptible to the inky persuasions of Forte (Tim Curry), a malevolent pipe organ (and former music teacher to the prince). Belle is still trying to win over the Beast and decides that bringing Christmas to the castle will be the way to do it. Please control that gag reflex for this does work remarkably well and though entirely unnecessary and certainly not a complement to the original, it doesn't tarnish its good name.--Keith Simanton

It is Chirstmas time and Belle wants to decorate the castle with a tree and all its trimmings but the beast is very much against this (following a bad childhood). She asks all the others to help her and surprise the Beast, however Forte (evil pipe organ) over hears her plans and trys to put a stop to them and to keep the Beast as far away from Belle as he can.
Belle gets into trouble once she goes looking for a tree as she has ignored the orders of the Beast and gone outside of the castles grounds.
I did enjoy this film with the usual brilliant effects and music from Disney, however it is no where near as good as the original masterpiece but then again what sequels are. My son loved this film very much but I think that was because it was all about Christmas and we know how much kids love that time of year.

Review of Beauty And The Beast: The Enchanted Christmas (Animated) (DVD)
Advantages: Classic tale which has a good message. Disadvantages: Like several other movies, not as good as the first one.
This tale starts off like many others with setting the scene, yet in a very confusing way. It is not clear of the time line as it does not directly follow on from the first movie.
Despite the opening flaw it does offer some entertainment and with an original cast from the first movie, the music, along with many other Disney classics, is wonderful and charming and will capture the imagination of many generations.
The basic plot sees to be that during ... ...the Christmas before; thus launching into a long tale in which the characters plan, sing, destroy, and save Christmas!
The villain of the piece is perhaps more terrible than the previous, jealous character of Gaston. He comes in the form of Forte. Forte was the musician in the castle and when the spell was placed on the castle, he was turned into a pipe organ. He now feels useful because his gloomy music seems to be the only thing that makes the ...

Advantages: CLASSIC FILM Disadvantages: PREDICTABLE
THIS IS A CLASSIC FILM WHICH INVOLVES BASICALLY A ROMANTIC STORY LINE BETWEEN TWO UNUSUALLY ATRRACITED COUPLE. THE STORY INVOLVES THE USUAL BEAUTIFUL GIRL THE ATTRACTIVE STONG AND YOUNG MAN AND THE NOT SO ATTRACTIVE MAN. THIS FILM SHOWS THE IMPORTANCE OF PERSONALITY IN PEOPLE AMD HOW LOOKS ARE IRRELEVANT. IT ALSO SHOWS JEALOUSY, DESPERATION, LOVE, ROMANCE, ANGER, FRUSTARTION, RELIEF. THE FILM HAS QUITE A SIMPLE STOREY LINE WHICH IS USEFUL FOR YOUNG ...

DVD Description
The Disney-drawn residents of the Beast's castle return for a Christmas adventure. Belle plans a Christmas celebration that she hopes will delight the standoffish Beast, but a scheming pipe-organ, Forte, drowns out her carols with his dismal dirges. It's up to Belle, Lumiere, Cogsworth, and the rest of the gang to bring the Beast back around with a healthy dose of Yuletide cheer. Features classic carols like Joy to the World in addition to five new songs composed by Rachel Portman.
