Bear is a lovable 7ft bear who lives in a big house (it would have to be) with all of his friends. The film follows him through a typical day in the house starting off with Bear welcoming you to his house he then starts to sniff and asks can you smell what he can too? and asks you to sniff and see what you can smell. He has visits from Shadow his siloutte friend and always finishes the show by going up onto the roof to find Luna the moon and asking her to join him in the Goodbye Song.
BEARS FRIENDS Tutter - Small blue mouse Treelo - Monkey I think!! Ojo - Bearcub Pip and Pop - Otters
This DVD consists of two 25 minute show aimed at pre-school children, but if like me you will find yourself glued to it too.
AS DIFFERENT AS DAY AND NIGHT This is the first show and focuses on opposites teaching children the difference between Big and Small, Hot and Cold Day and Night and many lots of other opposites too. It goes through a day in Bears House and points out the opposites that Bear and his friends encounter and the fun that Bear and all his friends can have with opposites. There is a friendly visit from Shadow a silouette that tells a story and of course ends with the normal goodbye song with luna.
BATS ARE PEOPLE TOO I love this one this is all about difference and teaches a very valuable lesson, it starts off with Pip and Pop finding a creature by the pond and how they decide that they dont like this creature because it is different!! Bear explains to the two that this is Benny the Bat and that they should both spend time getting to know him before they decide that they dont like him. It preceeds with the gang of friends getting to know Benny and finding out how much fun they can have with him teaching everyone that difference is not bad and that we should get to know someone before deciding not to like them just because of the way they look. There is the usual visit from Shadow and the Goodbye Song sung with Luna.
I love the way that Bear incoporates such valuable lessons with learning. The songs they sing are very catchy and I have found myself wandering around singing away to "Goodbye Goodbye".
My 5 year old loves the Bear series on Tv and and has watched the Dvd countless times, I would definately in the future buy more Dvds from this series.
