I had to admit I did not enjoy the film the way I thought I would. Perhaps because I knew none of the characters despite the six (who plays the Admirals Lover) and the storyline was entirely new but not fresh.
All this film was used ... ...series if about, its about Battlestar GALACTICA!
I would not recommend wasting your money buying it for full price just yet, but waiting for it o be reduced or buy it second hand. There is a certain amount of information that you can get from it which makes more sense for later within the series, and if you're a die hard BSG fan like myself this will come in handy:)

After seeing the Pegasus in the series of BSG I felt that I needed to know about it. It did seem to appear as if from no-where and I felt that this was just a bit off. But then lo and behold came a movie called Razor telling the story of the Battlestar Pegasus from before the time of the attack on the colonies to them canabilizing the fleet of civilians and a lone strange mission to destroy the cyclon secret weapon. I had to admit I did not enjoy the film the way I thought I would. Perhaps because I knew none of the characters despite the six (who plays the Admirals Lover) and the storyline was entirely new but not fresh. All this film was used for was to add more details into the series which had not been clarified. We now know that Kara Thrace will be the destruction of mankind. We understand why the admiral had such ill feelings towards the six in the series etc etc. There is a bit more scope to the characters but I still felt like I didn't care! Its not what the series if about, its about Battlestar GALACTICA! I would not recommend wasting your money buying it for full price just yet, but waiting for it o be reduced or buy it second hand. There is a certain amount of information that you can get from it which makes more sense for later within the series, and if you're a die hard BSG fan like myself this will come in handy:)
I did not own or rent the dvd therefore I cannot comment on the features of the disc in any way. I will state that the layout of the film was much the same as the tv show, it did not have a conventional film feel to it and had a very 'on your toes' feel about it which is comparative to the tv show. Watch, RENT and enjoy!
