...First Blood - is Sylvester Stallone as a vietnam vet who gets into the wrong place at the wrong time and is arrested. After being beaten up, Rambo reacts the only way he know and kills a man in his violent escape. Fleeing into the forest, he starts war with an entire police force. First Blood - Part 2 - While in prision, Rambo is asked by his friend Col Trautman to go back to Vietnam and take pictures of POW's so that America can move in and recue them. Rambo 3 Rambo is approched by his friend Col Trautman(again) who asks him to acopanny him on a mission in Afganistan. Rambo refuses but when he later hears that his frined has been captured, Rambo springs into action and goes on yet another mission to save his friend DVD comes with some good extras including a trailer and a few documentaries. Advantages: Emotionally brillient

...This for me is the most shocking and emotionally moving of all the Vietnam war films. Staring Robert De Niro (Michael), Christopher Walken (Nick) and John Savage (Steven) as 3 friends who go off to war in Vietnam. After capture by the Vietcong they are forced to play a game of Russian roulette, the effect of this is mentally traumatic on them and will end in tragedy. After the war Michael must return to Vietnam to fulfil a promise to one of the other two friends building to a shocking climax. This film won 5 Oscars including a best supporting actor Oscar for Christopher Walken and it’s not hard to see why, he’s just breathtaking. It’s impossible to fault the acting at all (including the smaller part played by Meryl Streep) but Walken gives the most amazing performance I have ever seen and he has since been one of my favorite actors... Advantages: great childhood memory, dramatic story
Disadvantages: corny, unbelievable at times

...Ive seen Rambo a few times, once when i was young and the memory of him fall of a cliff and a tree breaking his fall to which he then stitched himself up with him survival needle and thread was amazing even if it was a bit unrealistic. Stallone plays a vietnam renegade, straight out of the war, he is picke dup by an officer who casts him as a "dead beat" and offers to escort him out of town... Stallone or shall i say rambo takes offence of this and start world war 3 all on his own, killing police officers and hiding in the woods. He uses his survival skills to great effects whilst on the run and gets out of some unbelievable scrapes with the law. The storyline is a good one, and keeps you gripped, but I do feel it goes over the top (no pun intended) sometimes and leaves you sitting there thinking "yeah right"... It is a typical sly...
