DO NOT OVER LOOK THIS FILM!!
One of the most thought provoking plots to have been thought up in a long time. Following a disruptive high school class in troubled japan where teenagers rebel against adults, the goverment creates a method to strike fear back into the trouble makers... the BATTLE ROYALE. The Idea... The military kidnap a randomly selected class of teenagers and throw them on a secluded island were its kill your own friends and high school crushes before they kill you. Made worse when the teacher they were always spiteful to is the one in charge of over seeing there demise. Some stick together through loyalty and trust while others stab once friends in the back not always from circumstance but also from revenge (the best friend who stole the boyfriend or the kid who got bullied wanting to get even) Every individual gets a bomb collar around there neck and a bag with basic survival stationery with one weapon from a gun ... to a pot lid. with the island getting ever smaller forcing the teenagers closer due to a loud speaker explaining areas no longer allowed to be in on the island or the collar will blow, morals and friendship are tested until there can be only one winner which inturn will be granted there freedom. Just not that easy when the odd assassin is thrown in to keep the kill count rolling and force the teenagers to defend for there lives whilst fighting there own paranoia. As the film takes shape two key characters emerge and love and honour whilst protecting each other blossoms whilst everything else crashes around them.

sounds good, do the subtitles make it hard to watch though
