...by never watching it. But for all intents and purposes is it really is a film too far?, well it does have one redeeming feature... The Story So far... An astronaut lands on a planet far in the future, and finds it ruled by talking apes, while humans on the other hand, are dumb wild animals. He is regarded as a freak of nature and escapes the ape city only to find that the planet is earth. An expedition is sent to find what happened to the previous mission. Landing on the same planet, the surviving astronaut discovers the apes civilisation and also mutant humans with strong mental powers living underground. A war ensues destroying the planet. Three astronauts land on present day earth, who turn out to be talking apes from the future. They become celebrities and the female ape becomes pregnant. ...center that is on the planet but little does Leo know it will not be much help. At the end of the film Leo finds out that he isd not just on another planet, he has travelled in time and the mothership that followed him to rescue him ended up on the planet hundreds of years before leo did, I am not going to tell you all the plot because their are more twists and at the very end a big shock for Leo on earth. Advantages: Good effects and some good acting
Disadvantages: Bad plot and ropey scripot

...This is not a bad film considering. Compared to the compeitition which you can tell it copied off. It is not very original Astronauts stuck on far off Planet need rescuing by man who missed out (you know what I mean.) The effects are pretty good and the space ship models are good. There is some good acting especially from Gary Sinese. There are so many cracks in the plot which the actors try to paper over but it is like trying to poly fill the grand canyon totally useless. It is good for one watch maybe you should rent it and yourself a bit of your hard earned dosh.... Read review
