One of the greatest superhero movies is now making its way onto blu-ray with some features not found in its HD-DVD counterpart.

Plot -

Batman Begins takes the batman franchise to its roots and shows how billionaire Bruce Wayne becomes Batman for the first time. Bruce had lost his parents in a mugging when he was 8, as he grew older he developed more hate for the criminal and corrupt of Gotham City. So years later he returns to Gotham from Princeton University to attend the hearing so he could kill the man who murdered his parents Joe Chill. However before Bruce can act one of Gothams biggest crime bosses Carmain Falcone has one of his henchmen kill Chill. Bruce tells his childhood friend Rachel Dawes about his foiled plan, who reacts with pure disgust as Bruce has no regards for justice.

Bruce then leaves gotham so he can learn the criminal minds and after 7 years he is found in a Prison. Here he meets Henri Ducard who invites Bruce to join his vigilante group lead by Ra's Al Ghul. So Bruce goes through traning with the league, overcoming his fear of bats along the process. At the end of his traning Bruce is ordered to execute a criminal, Bruce refuses and this is when Ra's tell Bruce of his plans to destroy one of the most corrupt cities, Gotham. Bruce fights with the league and kills Ra's in the process then leaves for Gotham.

Bruce returns only to know that Falcone's ruled all of gotham, so he decided to run a one-man war against the cities corrupt system. This is where he returns to his parents old company and meets one of the scientists Lucius Fox, who provided Bruce with all the equipment he needs and this is how the batman is born. In the process he gains the help of Racher and Sgt. James Gordon, the only two who are not corrupt and still want justice in the city. Also the main antagonist of the movie is introduced The Scarecrow.

Cast -

Bruce Wayne/Batman - Cristian Bale
Alfred Pennyworth - Micheal Caine
Henri Ducard - Liam Neeson
Rachel Dawes - Katie Holmes
Dr. Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow - Cilian Murphy
Sgt. James Gordon - Gary Oldman
Lucius Fox - Morgan Freeman
Carmain Falcone - Tom Wilkinson
Ras' Al Ghul - Ken Watanabe

Plot Review -
The plot as absolutely brilliant. I have never known why Bruce wayne becomes Batman and now i know. The plot takes a different approach to previous Batman movies as this takes the story to its roots. There some good comedy placed which doesn't harm the characters, and there are some plot twists which add to the experience even further.

Visual -
The movie looks so beautiful in high-def, i'm not supprised as this was produced by Warner Bros. Even for a movie that takes place most of the time in darkness still looks very good and detailed.

Sound -
Sound was amazing, watching without a 5.1/7.1 sound system will not do this movie justice.

Extras -

In-Movie Experience - Picture In Picture making of the movie

The Dark Knight IMAX Prolouge (In High Definition)

Tankman Begins - A Batman Begins Spoof

Overall Batman Begins is a must buy movie, even if you don't want the high-def buy the DVD version. As batman begins a brilliant take on one of the greatest super heroes of all time.

Sorry for the H, but if this is to be a full DVD review, I would prefer to see a review of the extras in similar detail to the way you've reviewed the film, rather than just a brief mention of them.
