Bruce had lost his parents in a mugging when he was 8, as he grew older he developed more hate for the criminal and corrupt of Gotham City. So years later he returns to Gotham from Princeton University to attend the hearing so he could kill the man who murdered his parents Joe Chill. However before Bruce can act one of Gothams biggest crime bosses Carmain Falcone has one of his henchmen kill Chill. Bruce tells his childhood friend Rachel Dawes about his foiled plan, who reacts with pure disgust as Bruce has no regards for justice.

So Bruce goes through traning with the league, overcoming his fear of bats along the process. Bruce fights with the league and kills Ra's in the process then leaves for Gotham.

Plot Review - The plot as absolutely brilliant. I have never known why Bruce wayne becomes Batman and now i know. The plot takes a different approach to previous Batman movies as this takes the story to its roots. There some good comedy placed which doesn't harm the characters, and there are some plot twists which add to the experience even further.
Visual - The movie looks so beautiful in high-def, i'm not supprised as this was produced by Warner Bros. Even for a movie that takes place most of the time in darkness still looks very good and detailed.
Sound - Sound was amazing, watching without a 5.1/7.1 sound system will not do this movie justice.

Advantages: Great Films, Good Value for Blu Ray Disadvantages: Still cheaper to buy normal DVD and the difference isnt that huge
BATMAN: One To Buy ..... BUT
Christopher Nolans Excellent Screen Conversion of The Caped Crusader
Both films are set in the dark and dirty city of Gotham, the stories follow Batman as he fights crime and generally saves the day.
BatmanBegins: This film basically sets the scene for the probable next few batman films, we see bruce waynes story from the murder of his parents... to overcoming personal demons and rising to become the batman. While stopping along the way to kick Scarecrow butt.
Dark Knight: This time the caped crusader is feeling like packing in his job as the Batman, theres a new politician in town... a Mr Harvey Dent, and he is doing a great job of cleaning up Gotham so why would Gotham need a Vigilante..... because the jokers in town thats why. I have to honestly say joking aside.... Heath Ledgers performance in ...
Advantages: Unique approach to Batman. Disadvantages: High level of violence.
interest in this type of animation.
Its interesting to note as to how this has been marketed, yes it has come out at the sae time as the second film, but it is available with BatmanBegins in a Double Pack as well as in Blu-Ray as well. Price wise this starts at £7.99, not a bad price for the DVD to become part of your collection. ...
Genius of mystery and intrigue Christopher Nolan (MEMENTO, FOLLOWING, INSOMNIA) helms this prequel to the Batman films based on the DC Comics series, explaining how Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) the billionaire prince of Gotham whose parents were killed in an alleyway mugging transformed into the crime-fighting superhero. With flashbacks to his privileged childhood, young Master Wayne, as he is called by the butler Alfred (Michael Caine), develops a terrible fear of bats when he falls through the backyard garden into a hidden cave. As a young adult, Wayne lives among the League of Shadows, a martial arts group in the mountains of Asia. His leaders Ra's al Ghul (Ken Watanabe) and Henri Ducard (Liam Neeson) teach him strength, endurance, and unfortunately evil, against which he naturally rebels. Returning to Gotham and reinstating himself as a dapper socialite and the rightful heir to his parents' enterprise, Wayne quickly devises his secret identity, commanding help from the gadgetry expert Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman). With one eye on his childhood playmate Rachel (Katie Holmes) now a beautiful woman and dedicated lawyer and the other on his mission to save Gotham from criminal corruption, Batman makes his fledgling debut. But when the blue-blooded mastermind Dr. Crane (Cillian Murphy) who steals every scene with chilling menace taints the water system with a hallucinatory substance, Batman realises he has met his first true opponent. An attitude of grave seriousness elevates BATMAN BEGINS above more cartoony Batman movies, as Nolan crafts a dark drama that thrives on sci-fi intrigue. Bale strides into the role with grace, adding refinement that is seldom seen in action-oriented films. And while the action scenes explode with high-tech glitz and fast-moving thrills, they are evenly placed among sequences of plot and character development, making for a complex and satisfying viewing experience.
