Bass Extremes Live DVD

Advantages: Brian May, live music, the atmosphere of a live crowd!
Disadvantages: Not the original!

...band remained. So, Brian May and Roger Taylor employed the great talents of Jamie Moses on guitar and Danny Miranda of the bass. To say that they were not originally in the band, you would never actually know as their performances were as great as the founder members were. I saw their 'Return of the Champions' tour in May 2005, at the Sheffield Arena where this DVD was filmed. Indeed the atmosphere was electric, and the performance absolutely shone! It has to go down as one of the greatest shows I have ever seen. So, when browsing in HMV, I came across the 'Return of the Champions' DVD I was happy! Indeed the DVD lives up to the electric atmosphere of the actual day. ...now ive seen this band live before and i thought they are unbelievabe then i heard they were releasing a live dvd i was very excited and i wasnt let down, they blast through everyones favourates and throw in a few new tracks. Watching justin jump of the bass drum, throwing himself into the crowd and practically destorying his keyboard shows you how much energy there is in their performance this is about as close as you can get without being there, the only downfall is that they didnt play retreat, but still it has everything else you'd expect from hell is for heroes live including justins crazy dancing, this dvd will not disappoint you 10 / 10 BUY IT NOW... i mean it... Advantages: Demonstrates the lifestyle of the Offspring, Great live perfomances.

...This DVD has mixture on live performances by the offspring and videos of the members skating, sky diving etc. The Offspring are a punk band started in the 80's in Orange County and by the time they released this DVD they had had great success. This DVD has Greg K base jumping, Noodles BMXing and snowboarding, Dexter Holland flying and sky diving, Ron Welty Skateboarding and surfing. The Live perfomances include Staring at the sun and LAPD and has interviews with Noodles and other backstage members as part of special features. The background music are all done by the offspring's and are purely great instrumentals to previous Offspring songs and suit the atmosphere. It is a DVD for the Fans of punk and extreme sports and of course a recommended DVD for the Offspring Fans.... Read review
