There are loads of cameos in this film (Gary Oldman, Christopher Walken, Dennis Hopper, Willem Dafoe, Courtney Love and even, God help us, Tatum O’Neal). And this cameos come so fast and thick, that you do get distracted from the main storyline, which is about the rise and fall of a supposedly well known, Graffiti artist who overdosed in 1988 at the age of 27. Geoffrey Wright is suitably dazed and confused as Basquiat, struggling to cope with the over-night fame. But one of the funniest thing is David Bowie’s impersonation of Andy Warhol, priceless.

But an OK film, which is in the B movie type genre.
