...When the story of Romeo and Juliet is given some oriental flavour, shurikens and an elevated level of gore, a wonderfully captivating, yet action-packed anime series is produced.
Basilisk is the story centered around Kōga Gennosuke and Iga Oboro, two young ninja from rival clans that have two things in common; love for each other and a hope to end the 400-year-old hatred between their clans. Potter strikes again Review ofHarry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets DVDby
powerpuffblossom
Advantages: Plenty to laugh at, cry at, scream at Disadvantages: Bit scary for young children. Not for the arachnophobic!!
...This film is a definate must-see for everyone. From complete potter fanatics to the extreme few who havent even heard of a chocolate frog or a fizzing whizzbee!
From the beginning, the action comes fast and furious, the effects are amazing, and the story inviting.
A long film, but every second is interesting, so many details to take in and dialogue to listen to. The Basilisk and Aragog are completely believable. It is very possible to lose yourself in this film, and emmerge from it with a new look on muggle life. Are you sure your cat can't read?
Not totally true to the book, but enough to satisfy the largest of wizard appetites
However, Richard Harris (Prof. Albus Dumbledore), died during/after this film and I found no tribute to him in the beginning or end credits.
Overall, a must have for any movie collection....
