Advantages: deep, captivating storyline; awesome ninja doujutsu; amazing character development
Disadvantages: suspense!!! although that may not even be a disadvantage:)

...When the story of Romeo and Juliet is given some oriental flavour, shurikens and an elevated level of gore, a wonderfully captivating, yet action-packed anime series is produced. Basilisk is the story centered around Kōga Gennosuke and Iga Oboro, two young ninja from rival clans that have two things in common; love for each other and a hope to end the 400-year-old hatred between their clans. As their marriage draws closer, their hopes are torn apart as the Shogunate withdraws the treaty, drawn up to forbid the clans from taking each other's blood, so that a successor to the Shogun may be determined. The elite ten ninja from each clan are chosen to represent one of the potential successors in a battle of last-man-standing. To their dismay, Gennosuke and Oboro are not excluded form their respective lists. Bloodshed ensues as the K... Read review

Bill gets better.
Review of Kill Bill - Vol. 2 DVD by Technofrog

Advantages: An excellent rip-roaring conclusion to an excellent first part, Tarantino at his best.Pure genius in celluloid.
Disadvantages: A shame there is not a 3rd part to this movie.

...When Tarantino released Kill Bill Vol 1, it was met with wide acclaim, some positive some not so positive, claiming he had just made a bloodfest and was into shocking people, true the original movie was graphic in parts but I believe it paved the way for Vol2. In Vol 1. we see that the charcter played by Uma Thurman has been wronged (to put it mildly) and is merely exacting her perceived revenge for the loss of her child and nearly her life but we know little of the depths of the charcaters. In Vol 2. we get more in depth information relating to the characters in the movie, and we get the cataclysmic ending that just the movie justice. Vol 1 was the jammy sponge for the film and Vol 2 is most definitely the icing and decorations. In both movies we have excellent acting, scripting and direction (as we have come to expect from... I feel sorry for Bill
Review of Kill Bill - Vol. 1 DVD by ShellieRoberts

Advantages: Clever and Action Packed!
Disadvantages: Not for the faint of heart.

...My husband and I are regular film goers and we love Tarantino ... I love the way he is so distorted and gory! Kill Boll Vol 1 was incredibly easy to follow for Tarantino ... although the film does jump about a little the basic story line is very apparent. The affects are amazing ... maybe to life like for the wear stomached amoungst us! Its a big one up for girl power and Uma is simply beautiful and excellent throughout. I thought this would be a butch bloke film but I was wrong ... girls its amazing! I am waiting for Vol2 with anticipation ... my husband and I left the cinema on the edge of our seats and ready for the next one. I will definately be trying to get advanced screening tickets for Vol 2. Happy watching!... Read review
