Advantages: Quite funny at times, some amusing cameos, scores points for satirizing professional sports Disadvantages: Unrelentingly crude and stupid at times, if you don't like South Park, you probably won't like it
...tries to get control of BASEketball completely, and the twists are just too obvious too notice. Even the character development is ridiculous, like when we know Doug is more easliy manipulated than Joe, and one tries to make himself better and more popular than the other, and they eventually go their "seperate ways." Then again, they do make up with that french kiss......
A comedy to laugh it, if not fall in love for. And remember, you might to check ...

...their own sport! BASEketball is a strange cross between Baseball and Basketball and good cause for comic relief. There isn't really an ounce of sense or seriousness in this movie and thats why I love it! If you fancy a laugh, try this, and I guarantee you won't be disappointed. ...

Advantages: Very funny, very original Disadvantages: too short, not for everyone
Until 'Kevin and Perry go LARGE!' comes out on video, I have decided that this film is almost as good and therefore can keep me amused. The humour is first class and the 'psyche outs' are especially good (I suggest you watch this film if you want to know how to REALLY put some one off!). Matt Stone and Trey Parker have shown their capabilities with an excellent and genuinely funny cartoon, but this proves that there is still some more talent waiting ...

Advantages: Very funny, well acted, original script, great if it's your 'cup of tea' Disadvantages: Too immature and crude for many, very specifically targeted humour
BASEketball is the third feature length film from Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who shot to fame with the controversial cartoon series South Park.
As with all the duo's films, they star in the leading roles alongside regular co-star Dian Bachar and this time with such big names as Yasmine Bleeth, Jenny McCarthy and Robert Vaughn.
The film has a seemingly unoriginal storyline as it follows the ups and downs of a sports team ' the Milwaukee Beers' ... ...is a made up one, 'BASEketball', a sport which is, and I quote, 'Basketball, with baseball rules'. Throw in a few love sub plots, a will reading, a boy with liver damage (who wants to kill an endangered species as his dying wish) and you have a fairly standard piece of Parker and Stone pie, in other words, a film which is wildly crude and quite liable to offend.
Having said that, if that is what you look for in a film, or if you are familiar with ...

Advantages: South Park meets Naked Gun - that in itself should be enough for you to buy this. Disadvantages: Sometimes humour is a bit crude.
From the creators of the Naked Gun and starring the creators of South Park comes this hilarious comedy about two guys who just want to catch a break, so they invent this game called BASEketball, which is a mix of baseball and basketball.
While the film is very predictable, it still manages to get some laughs and overall is a very underrated film.
However, I am a fan of South Park and of the Naked Gun trilogy, so if you are not a fan of these you ... ...as how Matt & Trey rewrote most of the script to their liking.
It is a good mix of the Naked Gun trilogy and South Park, and does not at any time seem one-sided to be more like the other.
The humour is crude at times, and you will have to "dumb down" in order to find this funny, but it's a small price to pay when you realise just how great and funny a film this is.
The only major flaw is that it goes on for a bit too long, but that's just my opinion ...
