Balamory is the name of the Village in which the program is set. It is set on an island in Scotalnd. In the Balamory village all the house are diffents colours.
Each episode of Balmory starts with Miss Hoolie, ... ...
Every episode of Balamory after the visit from a character to Miss Hoolie starts continues with a character singing a song called 'which coloured house am I going to'. The story continues from there with always another song of the character they go to see next so each episode always has three songs and normall a song at the end. The ones at the end tend to be childrens classics, like the hokey cokey.

It is set on an island in Scotalnd. In the Balamory village all the house are diffents colours. Each episode of Balmory starts with Miss Hoolie, she is the nursery teach and each day starts at the nursery (unless it's a play day I'll explain that in a minute.) Miss Hoolie welcomes everyone to the nusery with a song. Miss Hoolie is always in green and lives in the green house. If it's a play day then Miss Hoolie welcomes the viewer from the cafe with a different song. Once she has sang her song she normally gets a vistor with a problem, or with an invitation to do somthing. The other cahracters in the village, are:
PC Plum: He lives in the white house, is the village policemen, rides a bike and knows about the wildand solving clues. He has two of his own songs as each character does.
Archie: Always wears a pink jumper, pink kilt and lives in the pink house. Archie is and inventor
Eddie Mcreddie: wears a blue bus drivers uniform lives in the blue house. She drives the daisy bus and travels alot.
Spencer: wears white dunagrees an orange hat and orange t shirt and lives in the orange house. Spencer is a painter and musician.
Josie Jump: Always wears a yellow tracksuit and lives in the yellow house. She is a keen dancer and sports women.
Suzie Sweep and Penny Pocket: Are the last two characters they live in the red house which is the village shop called Pocket and Sweet. Suzie is a good cook and Penny is a good organiser.

My son loves the songs, he has learnt most of them and is always singing them.
This particular DVD contains 4 balamory episodes all featured around the character Eddie McCreddie and her bus. The good theing about this DVD is you can episode select and scence select, (my son likes skipping to the songs). The program is good for helping children learn colours. I would recommend this DVD and any of the DVD's in the series.
