Bad Girls - Series 7 (Box Set)

...Bad Girls is without a doubt the best programme on the telly. That's not just me, that's the 8 million strong audience the show pulls on a regular basis. Series 2 consists of 13 episodes, all about 48 minutes long (the ads on telly bring it up to an hour). It features all the classic BG characters - controversial couple Helen and Nikki, 'evil personified' Shell Dockley, the stunning Denny Blood, b*stard Jim Fenner and "top dog" Yvonne Atkins. While not denying the grit of prison life, and confronting existing issues in the system, this drama is instantly warming and it's strange how much affection you can have for violent criminals. I cried and laughed out loud during this series. It is definitely the best Bad Girls series to date and well worth the money.... Read review

Advantages: Witnessing the start of the best series for girls everywhere
Disadvantages: It only runs for 290 minutes..!

...This box set includes the pilot episode and the consequential 11 Episodes: 1. Sex and the city - the start, we meet Carrie and her friends 2. Models and mortals - this episode takes a look at models, their effects of men and also on the women that want to be them! 3. Bay of married pigs - Carrie has an unfortunate run in with her married friends husbands penis, take it from there..why do married people hate singles? 4. Valley of the twenty-something guys - The girls try the younger man route, led my the extremely sexually active Samantha. 5. The Power of female sex - Carrie comes into financial issues and unwittingly gets paid for sex! 6. Secret Sex - this episode looks at the idea of hiding someone you are sleeping with from other people, why do men do it and is it happening to Carrie? 7. The monogamists - take it from the title... Advantages: Fun,witty,exciting,dramatic and the box sets are relatively cheap too!
Disadvantages: Season 4 was a let down

.... Series 4 was where buffy started to stumble with the ludicrous villian adam and the initiative botching up every episode they were in! This however,is not neccersarily a bad series when you look at the excellent episode hush-in almost total silence!-and the two parter where faith returns. Only the first half of series 5 has come out on video so far but this recovers from series 4 excellently and i cant wait for the second box set of this series to come out as it holds two of the biggest shocks in the history of buffy-from "the body" which is extremely moving to the season finale "the gift".
