Martin Lawrence and Will Smith feature in both these highly entertaining action films with some great touches of comedy...

Film Descriptions

Bad Boys: When $100 million of seized heroin is stolen from the Miami Police lockup, Police detectives Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence), are called upon to solve the case. Julie (Tea Leoni) is their only witness, but will only speak to Mike... This creates some great comedy as when Mike's not around Marcus has to save the day with his great impersonation.They must do everything they can to track down this mob...

Bad Boys 2: Mike Lowrey (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) are back and have been assigned to another task which investigates the flow of designer ecstasy into Miami. They are lead to a vicious kingpin (Jordi Molla), who wants to take over the city's drug trade. Meanwhile Mike and Marcus must forget there differences and concentrate on catching the bad guys...

Main Opinion

Martin Lawrence and Will Smith make these films. Their chemistry is brilliant and their working relationship on-screen provides some hilarious moments.
One such moment is in Bad Boys II when Mike and Marcus pretend to be exterminators to get into the suspects house. However they do not realise until they get there that they must get rid of masses of rats. Marcus hates rats and the link-up between the two during this moment is great. Later, Marcus is left alone with the rats when he sees 2 of them having a 'bit of fun'- his reply is "Mike...the papa rat is humpin' the s*** out of the mama rat...he's straight piledrivin' her" This is an extremely funny moment, of which there are many in both films.

There is also some great action scenes, with some also incorporating comedy which is done very well. There are car chases with some great special effects, great gun action and even some great stunts.

When the second film came out, after watching the first I thought it would not live up to the expectations, but it did and more-I probably prefer it to the 1st as there is more comedy, more action, and more special effects.

The theme tune is also great and used throughout the film-being sung by 'The Boys' as well as at the beginning and end.

These are both great films, with some great casting- I could not pick 2 actors to play the parts of these Detectives as well as Lawrence and Smith.

Would definitely recommend watching these films- audibly and visually great and well as extremely funny. 10/10.
