Director: Robert Zemeckis
Producers: Bob Gale, Steven Spielberg, Neil Canton, Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall.
Writers: Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale
Stars: Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Crispin Glover and Thomas F. Wilson.

Released in the summer of 1985 this sci-fi action/adventure comedy movie begins the trilogy of some hilarious time travelling sagas…

**BRIEF PLOT**

When Marty McFly, (played by Michael J. Fox) finds himself transpoted back in time with the help of the rather strange Doctor Emmett L. Brown (played by Christopher Lloyd) he realises he is all sorts of trouble.

Happily starting the day in 1985 with his girlfriend Jennifer Parker, (played by Claudia Wells), Marty stumbles into the Docs time travelling plans, which consists of a using a transformed DeLorean as a time travelling machine…. Then ending the day accidentally sent back to 1955, realising his only way to get 'back to the future' is to find the then Doctor Emmett and convince him of his achievement, which is easier said than done.

Unfortunately for Marty, he happens upon his parents, George, (played by Crispin Glover) and Lorraine Baines, (played by Lea Thompson) before they became a couple, seeing first hand how stupid his father is as a teenager.

Then, due to some very unlucky events, he soon becomes entangled in many rather complicated events…including the possibility that his own mother may have a crush on him….????

Marty has more trouble than he can handle, involving a very bad tempered bully named Biff, (played by Thomas F. Wilson) and urgently tries to get back to 1985 before he ruins the chance of his entire existence ever happening…

**IN CONCLUSION**

A good entertaining movie with some clever uses of time travel, time and space continuum and the troubles concerning 'cause and effect'

Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd play there parts brilliantly, if somewhat over the top at times.

Choosing Lloyd to play the part of a rather eccentric professor worked perfectly as he acted his part with honours.

Time travelling movies are nothing new, (and there will still be many more made in the future), but as there are many badly made movies of this type it is a pleasure to watch one of this quality and style…

A lot of time travelling movies require you to concentrate fully to keep up with what is happening, which sometimes spoils the enjoyment of a movie, but this one is easy to watch, with no real concentration needed to keep up with what is happening due to someone accidentally treading on a butterfly years before, (cause and effect).

The scenes as Marty has to try to convince his parents that they are in love with each other, whilst also trying to evade Biff, the rather large and very frightening bully, really does keep the movie flowing with very comical results.

In all a good entertaining movie with action, comedy, thrills, spills and the usual bit of romance needed to keep everyone happy…

And with Robert Zemeckis directing other movies such as Romancing the stone, Who framed Roger Rabbit, Death Becomes her and Monster House, plus many others, you know you're in good hands…

Would I recommend this…?
Yes.. Why not..
It is a good family entertaining movie with enough contents to please all the audience.
You will enjoy it without a doubt.

Can be bought from www.amazon.co.uk for around £7.50 today…(usually around £15.00)
