I went to Paris for the week end and on Sunday we weren't sure whether to go to Versailles or the Parc Asterix, in the end we chose what we thought would be a day of fun. But first let me tell you:
**** How to get there:
You can go by car; it's about 30 km north of Paris (Autoroute A1). We don't have a car so we took the RER first (RER B) which takes you to Roissy Charles de Gaulle Terminal 1 and then a bus to the Parc Asterix. From central Paris (gare de Lyon) it took us about 30 mn to go to the airport and then about 20mn to the Parc. In theory, there should be a bus every 30mn, we had to wait for one hour before a bus came and when we complained to the driver he told us that we probably didn't see the other bus!
**** How much is it?
We paid for out tickets at the station as they do a deal: train+ticket will cost you 38 ...

Parc Asterix, just north of Paris on the A1 motorway, is the best adveture park I've ever been to, and miles better than Disney Paris if only because it is cheaper and less crowded. The park is based on the Asterix comic characters and these ancient Gauls and their Roman enemies provide the theme for every part of the attractions. Roller coasters and rides include the Tonnere de Zeus, a great wooden construction that scared the wits out of me. Other rides are just as breathtaking, with some gentler ones for the fainthearted, and many water rides. Characters from the Asterix books wander the site and younger kids esepcially will enjoy this. Advantages: Great cast Disadvantages: Not as good as the first film
Ocean's Twelve is the sequel to the 2001 smash hit Ocean's Eleven. It again stars George Clooney as Danny Ocean, who again has to bring his original team back together again when Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia) finds them all and demands his money back. The team now have the job of returning all of Benedict's money or face going to jail. But they may have a way out, in the shape of premier thief Francois Toulour, who will pay the entire amount if they can prove they are the best thieves in the world.
I love Ocean's Eleven, it's one of my favourite films, and I was disappointed when this failed to live up to my expectations. Perhaps I shouldn't have expected as much, sequels very rarely match the first films in terms of quality.
