If you didn't see it at the movies then definitely worth hiring or buying on DVD.
I though it was going to be one of these boring remakes with the same old story.
They have kept it to the same type of story but have allot of twists from the original film changing how the film goes to make it more interesting and more enjoyable and definitely up to date.
The stars in the film add to the enjoyment of the film and all of them fit well into there characters.
Ethan Hawke and Laurence Fishburne lead an all-star cast, including John Leguizamo, Ja Rule and Drea de Matteo, in the explosive, action-packed thriller, Assault on Precinct 13. Run-down Precinct 13 is about to close its doors forever. But everything changes when some of Detroit's most lethal prisoners arrive. Soon, the only thing more dangerous than the criminals on the inside is the rogue gang on the outside. To survive the night, two men on opposite sides of the law will have to work together to battle an enemy who doesn't follow the code of cop or criminal.
This is how the plot has been advertised. I have used the official one to explain the plot it would only spoil it for those who haven't seen it if I explain how the new plot works.
As I have said definitely worth getting the DVD if you haven't seen the film and see for yourself if you agree that it is a good adaptation of the old film and worth seeing.
Certainly if you can remember older film you won't be bored watching the new version.
After watching it on DVD I wished I had seen it at the movies. I certainly will be buying now to add to my collection.
