Review of My Family - Series 4 DVD by LM01443

Advantages: Funny, original for you My Family fans!
Disadvantages: The series has a hole in as the Xmas episode does not exist

.... In this series is an episode where Ben has been announced dead in a newspaper, Susan refuses to sleep with Ben until he writes her a poem and Michael starts to get interested in girls. The funniest part of this series has to be when Susan walks in on Michael and a girl in bed and goes 'hysterically blind'. She has to convince the family that she can see so Abbey leaves different smelling objects around the house so she can find her way around. Janies is not in the sseries at all. However, Abbey brings the comedy back up to pace with her antics and wit. This is not the best of the series, but I do look forward to series 5 being released. This dvd set is definately worth the money.... Read review

Review of Early Doors series 1 by tommygswfc

Advantages: great programme
Disadvantages: ------

...I bought this DVD when it came out last year so now it's time to review it. Basically early doors is set in a small pub up north called The Grapes .Where everyday when the clock strikes 5.30 a crowd of 5 arrives and whinge , moan and talk about how boring and dull life is Don't let this put you off though as it truly is an excellent series. The show like all good comedy's has some very lovable characters; Tommy, the miserable old sod who goes to the pub to avoid loneliness at home, then sits on his own; Eddie , the boring bloke in the corner who spends his life talking about traffic congestion and Jean , Kens(landlord) mum who eats his profits away , quite literally. I really do recommend this DVD to all comedy lovers out there, Series 2 is currently been re-shown on BBC 1 on Thursday nights at 10:45 so take a look at this genius... Read review

Auf Wiedersehen Pet - The Complete Fourth Series
Review of Auf Wiedersehen Pet - The Complete Fourth Series DVD by the_enlightened_one

Advantages: Magnificent Seven are back
Disadvantages: Extras are nothing to special

...series sees the lads back again and this time off to Cuba. The lads are doing a job in Russia, When the jobs there on goes badly wrong, In fact it gets blown to bit. In a panic the lads come back home to the UK. Where they are contacted to help rebuild the British Embassy following a hurricane. As it's a "British Embassy" apparently the law states only British nationals may work on diplomatic buildings, this is where the Magnificent Seven come to the rescue. Dennis is the gaffer again, this time not just in charge of the lads but also in charge of the entire job. Dennis also has a love interest in this series with Wyman's Mum :), Oz also falls for a ballerina and seriously thinks about staying in Cuba. Barry is seriously screwed up and seems to be always on the phone to his shrink, Due to his wife in the last series using him he doesn... Read review
