As Time Goes By - Series 3 DVD

Advantages: Long list of celebrity guests and more sophisticated humour.
Disadvantages: Julia Sawalha seems dissaffected with her role as Saffy

...One of Britain's finest comedy series goes from strength to strength in this third series. The storylines are funnier and packed with quick-fire jokes and gags . The series has some absolute classic episodes, some of the best Ab Fab moments of all time are served up in this third series, especially in the hilarious "Jealous" which is one of the best episodes in the series. In this episode Edina and Patsy are attending an awards ceremony where Edina hopes to win the top award, and despite choosing and bribing the judges still manages to lose to arch rival Claudia Bing. Naomi Campbell also stars in this episode and certainly adds something to the episode as do the other celebrity guests such as Jeremy Beadle, Ruby Wax and Lulu when they also appear in other episodes. Advantages: Very funny, lots of extras, old favourites
Disadvantages: some weak new characters

.... The deleted scenes are most surprising because on past sets they have been mostly abandoned concepts and characters. This time in addition to these there are half a dozen Lou and Andy sketches you haven't seen before in addition to more Dafydd, Carol, Emily Howard and the old lady who likes frogs. The Southbank Show Special is also included which is very informative about Matt and David's life and how Little Britain goes from script to screen. 'Highlights from Little Britain Night' is also a nice extra if you like watching the creators talk about the show. Especially good if you missed this event when BBC3 screened it at the beginning of the year. More interviews with the 'Richard and Judy Interview' and David on 'Top Gear'. You also get a Little Britain Live trailer which is coming to DVD in November. Overall series is three is great, far... Read review

Advantages: amazing speical effects and is for the whole family
Disadvantages: not for very young people as slight violence

...i purchased this dvd about three weeks ago and after seeing the series on the tv i was amazed that i was still hooked . this series is good for the whole family but you might want to check it as there is some swearing and sex involved. There is something in this series for everyone, for the children there are aliens and the fact that theres amazing affects and excitement. For the men theres a lot of violence and sexy scenes. There is also a womens aspect as this a action based, alien, crime detective thriller. This dvd is also packed with loads of speical features and deleted scenes. There is a large amount of viewing time to be had out of this dvd and so it is great value for money.... Read review
