The Knight Of The Round Table Turned Evil

Advantages: outstanding quality, excellent acting, brilliant effects
Disadvantages: goes on a little too long, story is straight and bland

The Dark Knight is a superhero film based upon DC comics character Batman. The film was released on July 16, 2008 in Australia, on July 18, 2008 and on July 24, 2008 in UK. It was highly appreciated and was the second film to earn more than $500 Million in North American box office and the fourth film $1 billion from worldwide box office. It tells the story of Bruce Wayne/Batman (Christian Bale) on his quest to subdue The Joker (Heath Ledger), a devious and lunatic criminal character, a new legacy to the batman saga. The Joker robs a bank with his accomplices and then tricks all his comrades into killing each other. Along with the district attorney Harvey Dent and his date Rachel Dawes and a lot of action Batman ultimately contains The Joker. This is the sequel to the Batman Begins which marks the beginning of Batman saga. It is not ...

King Arthur

Advantages: some good battle scenes
Disadvantages: poor story, poor charaters

a ruthless man who will do just about anything to achieve his objectives. He is an evil man who is a fearless warrior as well as being very intelligent. ** DVD Extras ** The DVD comes with the following extra features: * Alternate ending * A ?making of? documentary The DVD is also available in a special edition version which may/may not have different extras available. ** My Opinion ** Given the subject of this film I think there are two ways you can approach it. Firstly you can look at it from a historical point of view and compare it to the facts and decide how accurate it is. Secondly you can approach it as a work of Hollywood and expect it to be entertaining. While I like the idea of the Knights of the Round Table and things like that it is not something that I have a lot of knowledge about, so when I saw this film I went ...

Review of King Arthur (DVD)

King Arthur the Roman Knight!

Advantages: Highly enjoyable completely different story about King Arthur
Disadvantages: None

This is a King Arthur you have probably never before contemplated - taken by the Romans to serve a 15 year term as a soldier when he was a mere lad. After this opening the action and story starts with Arthur ( Clive Owen) and his band of Knights ( taken to serve as he was) returning home on the last day of their 15 years service. They are all battle weary and looking forward to their ongoing lives. Arthur himseld intends returning to live in Rome which he cosiders to be the centre of the civilised world, and where his mentor lives. He believes that all men are born free and none are born into serfdom, teachings handed down to him by his mentor and which are to be at the heart of the major action of the film. On their returning day they are forced into one last task before their freedom will be given which necessitates them ...
