version of be-bop that is much imitated but never bettered. Sadly Blakey passed away in 1990 but his legacy is so timeless that the music sounds as fresh as ever. Th...

This is truly one of the great classics of hard bop, with drummer Art Blakey leading ... more
arguably his greatest Jazz Messengers line-up through a driving programme that never lets up. Tenor saxophonist Benny Golson (whose composition "Along Came Betty" is heard here, subsequently becoming a jazz classic), brilliant trumpeter Lee Morgan and funky pianist Bobby Timmons (who wrote the hit title track) each take some of the best solos of their great careers and Blakey was never greater. No jazz record collection should be without this disc. It remains one of the premier items in Blue Note's catalogue, and rightfully so. It was issued as part of Blue Note's 1999 60th anniversary celebration, and original session producer Rudy Van Gelder did an excellent job remixing Moanin', adding warmth in the low end and far greater colour across the spectrum. The booklet opens like a gatefold LP with vintage black-and-white photos of the original session. --Skip Heller

Advantages: Good food for thought and quite inspiring Disadvantages: Calls for a leap of faith..
The Tibetan Art of Living is not usually a book I would read, but I picked it up in a New Age shop on a recent visit to Glastonbury. After skimming through it a few paragraphs intrigued me.
I tend to be a rather sceptical person, but I keep open minded about subjects preferring to EXPERIENCE truth rather than conceptualise it. Before going any further in the review of this book, let me try to explain?
I see an experience as something that is absolute truth - you know it because you experience it. On the hand, a belief is something that may or may not be true. I see it like this? Books generate beliefs, and truth will either be realised or not realised by what you experience after digesting the content of a book and "looking" for yourself.
What follows are the feelings that were generated in me as a result of reading this ...
Advantages: cost effective way on communicating Disadvantages: addictive... i don't get to bed until late
After using Yahoo Messenger and MSN quite a while ago, when i received my new lap top from work, I thought that I might as well download it as everyone is using it and at that particular time I wasn't.
Windows Messenger is basically MSN Messenger and if you do a search on google or any other main serach engine you can find the the link to download it.
Downloading takes seconds if you are on Broadband however if you are still not technologically advanced and still on dial up i can take hours and more than likely crashed half way though so can take days to actually install.
To have the Instant Messaging account you need to have an email address created that people can add to their individual accounts, without an email address you can't actually use it.
Once installed setting uo of friends is really easy, just click on add ...
