Very quickly we are into the 1st Tune Hang onto Yourself (Ziggy Stardust), Bowies dress is very theatrical almost clown like sound and picture quality sharp for my system. Mick Ronson plays a guitarsolo through out this track. The 2nd tune Ziggy Stardust shows Bowie wearing a skimpy white thigh length silk jacket. The sound production is as on the album. The camera shots from many angles front, back and close up. Some, of the audience. The less famous Wide Eyed boy From Free Cloud (Starman) follows a brief Watch That Man (Alladinsane) for this we have mainly Bowie head and shoulders in a red light. ...amidst rapturous applause the acousticguitars of Don Felder and Joe Walsh filled the air with a beautiful latin solo which slipped straight into the intro to "Hotel California".Henleys vocals were unmistakable and the audience rose as he sung the first few lines,in appreciation to their biggest hit.When the harmonies kicked in at the 1st chorus they went wild with applause.They performed it beautifully as if to remind the audience that hell finally did freeze over.
Glen Frey then sang "Tequila Sunrise",and introduced this song as one of the first that was written by Henley and himself.Again performed wonderfully.Frey has one of these voices that I can listen to whether he sings or just talks,He's got such a relaxing tone Im sure he would have made a great pyschiatrist.

Advantages: Value for money, the amount of extras, great music Disadvantages: none that I can think of
...This new DVD from David Gilmour, 'The Voice and Guitar of Pink Floyd', as it says on the sticker on the front, is great value for money as it includes "Over 5 hours of footage plus bonus content, including additional tracks, music videos, documentaries and photo gallery."
Disc 1 is the concert that took place at the Royal Albert Hall in May 2006 and is a full 2 ½ hours long (including an interval). The running order includes songs from David's latest solo album 'On An Island', with the expected Pink Floyd classics.
David's band is made up of Richard Wright from Pink Floyd, Phil Manzanera from Roxy Music, Jon Carin, Guy Pratt, and Steve DiStanislao. Some of the songs included some very special guests, David Crosby, Graham Nash, David Bowie and Robert Wyatt.
