This is a nice little addition to the Schwarzenegger fan's collection but is perhaps a poor man's compilation of Arnie's films.
The pack is presented in a nice silver card box with individual dvd boxes for each of the films. The individual dvds are commented on in summary below (refer to my individual reviews for a more detailed look).
Total Recall This is the real gem of the compilation it terms of both the movie and the features on the dvd. Its a high budget sci-fi where Arnie is Doug Quaid- a lowly construction worker whoi dreams of going to mars. His wife wont let him so he goes for the new fangled memory implant on offer for a company called RECALL. Big mistake- Arnie is an undercover operative who has had his identity changed by 'the agency' and is briefed to infiltrate rebel forces on Mars. Doug Quaid, has different ideas: In a nutshell "I dont wanna spoil it for you Doug, but rest assured you kill the bad guys, get the girl and save the world". Specials include trailers and a good making of featurette.
Red Heat This is not Arnie's best. He stars as Danko- a russian cop with a wisecracking sidekick (James Belushi) hunting a russian drug baron in America. No real plot and it follows the trend of a lot of action comedies in the eighties (e.g. Beverley Hills Cop, Lethal Weapon) but isnt as good. If it wasnt for Arnie- this would be dreadful. Specials include the making of Red Heat - which you may want to skip.
Raw Deal Arnie is an undercover cop infiltrating a mafia gang. Wonderfully cheesey and simple with lots of killing and oneliners. Not a bad little film early on in Arnie's career. No special features to speak of on the dvd.
Red Sonja This is not an Arnie movie, its a Bridgette Nielson movie in which Arnie plays a part. Its a swords and sorcery movie which is barely watchable and includes a whole host of extremely annoying characters who do battle with a wicked witch (an unfortunate Sandahl Bergman).
Nielson is awful and Arnie is the only glint of light at the end of the tunnel as the mercenary Kalidor who lends her a hand. I personally cannot stand this woman and wish that Arnie had taken her head clean off with his six foot broadsword. Thankfully there are no special features on this joke of a film.
So its a mixed bag of tricks folks, but for 15 quid its worth it if you are a collector. Hey but it comes in a really pretty box!!
