1. Contains several plot spoilers. But you can probably guess what happens at the end anyway.
2. Assumes a basic knowledge of the Big Brother TV show and format.
3. Parts of Dead Set are pretty gruesome, so if you?re of a nervous disposition you may not even want to read the rest of this review, never mind follow any of the links at the end.
Not Ideal Boyfriend Material
How?s this for a nightmare scenario? You?re a lowly female member of the production team on Big Brother. No no, that?s not it. There?s more. Not long ago you were engaged in a passionate clinch with Danny, your new almost-boyfriend, for whom you?re in the process of trading in your long-standing but boring current model. Danny has now left the room on an errand for your mutual tyrant of a boss and while he?s gone ...

Ciao members have rated this review on average: exceptional Review of Dead Set (DVD)
Advantages: Very funny with cracking one liners. Bruce Campbell at his best ever. Disadvantages: Lacks the horror elements fans of the first two might expect. Not quite as inventive either.
Once you have defined a genre and then messed with it to even more impressive effect it's probably hard to figure out where to turn next. So I would imagine that when Sam Raimi sat down with his brother Ivan to write the second sequel to THE EVIL DEAD his drastic change of direction wasn't just down to him wanting to sell more cinema tickets. Course you could disagree. Either way you look at it though once you have seen ARMY OF DARKNESS there is no denying it was yet another of his great ideas.
After Ash managed to get rid of the Deadites at the end of Evil Dead 2 he was pulled back in time with them and ended up in Medieval times. His dropping out of the sky doesn't go down very well with the townsfolk however and they throw him into a pit with a demon. What they didn't expect was him to kill it and then crawl back out. Once it ...

DVD Description
When a professor and his students set out to do some archeological fieldwork, they had no idea what was waiting for them. Their aim was innocent enough, but once their picks hit the dirt they unwittingly unleashed an army of dead warriors. But who are these walking skeletons and why are they so angry? Could these be the same men who disappeared back in 1590 while searching for the lost city of gold? Either way, now that they're awake, they're angry and looking for flesh to carve up. This is one university field trip these students wish they'd never taken.
