Overall I feel this film was ok, nothing special but enjoyable none the less, it will be very familiar if you have seen Saw 2. And if you didn't like the Saw films I doubt you will like this film. But if you did ... more
Conveyer belt Drills, Shotguns on strings, Self-operations, and an axe to the face, make an enjoyable film experience.

I didn't recognise any of the cast, which I like in this type of film it keeps it more real. The acting was ok, but seemed a bit poor in places. Again the characters involved remind me of the Second saw film, with the troubled cop and his female partner and a group of people trapped in a building.
The game concepts involved were good especially the twins strapped in with the drills. The special effects are convincing, they play a large part in this film, without them I don't think I would of enjoyed it as much.

Advantages: Dark moody feel Disadvantages: Took too long to come out on DVD
A group on a long distance mining expedition are awoken from deep sleep to investigate a distress signal from a nearby planet. One member of the landing part is attacked by a face hugger and gives birth to an Alien. This alien stalks the ship and kills all the members by Ripley.
It?s an old story line, but the execution of the story in this version is spot on. The feel of the dark and dirty ship makes you feel scared when the crew are running around the ship to escape the Alien. From start to finish this film has you on edge.
The DVD edition of the Movie contains extra footage that was removed from the original screening. If you want Science Fiction at its best, then you should immerse yourself in Alien ...

Advantages: Funny, scary and great acting Disadvantages: Hitting your head when you jump out of your seat
Deep Blue Sea is a brilliant film which includes all the jump out of your seat moments (and in my case hit the ceiling), comedy and pure action.
Having seen all three of the Jaws movies I confess that I did not expect the sharks to be lifelike at all, but the special effects in this film are outstanding. You really do think that they are filming with real sharks.
Quite unlike the obviously mechanical shark in Jaws, Deep Blue Sea sharks had all the right movements and behaviour and are guaranteed to scareyou out of your wits!
I loved this film and have seen it four times so far on DVD, definately one to see if you love special effects, action and comedy. This film has something for all but would not be something you would want a child to see. ...
Advantages: cast / acting / special fx Disadvantages: none really
hours of the morning the squaddies are 2-0 down and have a gruelling 4 hours left to play until sunrise. It?s a full on footy battle, and the wolves? hunger is far from sated.
Halloween Costumes
On first viewing of the werewolves, you may be forgiven for thinking that they look like men dressed in something your mum might produce as a Halloween costume. Fair enough, but when you?re caught up in the grip of the film and those seven foot monsters are rattling the catch on the door, howling to get in, you?re still going to be scared.
DVD Featurette
In the featurette about the making of the werewolves it looks as though the crew paid assiduous care to detail. As already mentioned, this is something that may be missed or possibly disliked by some viewers in the current climate of CGI monsters. However many will see that it is too ...
Six teens find themselves trapped in an abandoned warehouse, the unwitting pawns in a new reality TV show. The objective? To find their way out after passing numerous physical challenges. The catch? The odds are insurmountable, the games are gruesome and deadly, and nobody ever wins. With obvious nods to such claustrophobic chillers as CUBE, HOUSE OF 9, MY LITTLE EYE, and the SAW films, ARE YOU SCARED seems to reflect a growing disquiet over Big Brother-type surveillance, while at the same time blurring the line between voyeurism and sadism ever further.
