Arcturus - Shipwrecked In Oslo DVD

Advantages: The Real Word...but actually good
Disadvantages: Well if your expecting "The Truman Show" you'll be dissapointed

...In the wake of "the Truman show", this film was overlooked at the cinema, dismissed as a cheap copy. This is a great shame. Firstly it's nothing like "the Truman show", if anything the concept is closer to "the real world" or "shipwrecked". It's a comedy, and it is very funny. It's also very touching and thought provoking. Combining romance and laughter with a stark view of the insatiable appetite of the media. Ed is sexy, yes he's so sexy Matthew McConaughey makes him so likable you just want to take him home with you. Woody Harrelson is spot on as his brother keen to get in the limelight himself, and the supporting cast is also excellent. I finished watching it with the feeling that if there was an EDTV I'd probably be tuning in 12 hours a day. Great fun, great film.... Read review

Advantages: Very realistic and dramatic.
Disadvantages: A little bit too long.

...I saw "cast away" as an advert on television and I knew I had to see it. It stars Tom Hanks. It's about this man who works for a parcel delivery company all over the world. Then one day he has to go onthis flight and the plane crashes and he is stranded on a desert island. He has to learn how to stay alive. You get to see how people would survive on a desert island on their own. He goes through very tough conditions for four years until he decideds to go back to where he came from. So he builds a raft and he is on there for a number of days until he gets shipwrecked but lucky for him a big ship passes him by and rescues him. He then returns and there is a big celebration. .... In short, you will have understood it, this film mixes the comic one (adventures of Tom Hanks) with the tragedy (loneliness). The actor is in addition really imposing, interprets with talent his role and gives a realistic image and upsetting conditions of a shipwreck. However, the aim of this film is above all to divert you and to make you laugh, and undoubtly, it reaches this goal! I spent a good time, which is why I advice you to buy the DVD of this film!...
