Arctic Monkeys - Behind The Music (DVD with Book)

Advantages: Milburn - The Best, Unknown Band Out There
Disadvantages: Nothing, None, Zero, Zilch.

...Milburn are a band from Sheffield who very much associated with Arctic Monkeys. Milburn's drummer actually taught Arctic Monkey's drummer to drum and if it wern't for better advertising on the Monkey's part, Milburn would certainly be more famous than them right now as they are, definetly, a better band. Milburn have accompanied Arctic Monkeys several times at their gigs when really it should be the Monkey's supporting Milburn. But oh well, they are an unknown quantity to many but here, in Leighton Buzzard, an average sized town in South East England, they are well known, mainly due to me and my friends spreading the love. A big group of us of about 15-20 went to see a Milburn gig in February of this year and they are brilliant live i must say. Advantages: Post-modern, beautifully shot, hilarious.
Disadvantages: Only 4 episodes have commentary

...,) and become more and more impatient for the second series to be released on DVD! As for the DVD, menus are nicely animated, easy to use and stylistically in keeping with the show. The main downside is the lack of commentaries, with only 4 out of the 8 shows with commentary. As with all the good comedy commentaries though, they are amusing and informative, even when they do get a bit off-topic. The two featurettes are a big lengthy, yet informative throughout, and I found that I enjoyed the show in a different way the next time I watched it, having seen behind the scenes and the history of the comedy duo. The out-takes are average, but the photo gallery is amusing. At first, the option to view the music tracks as separate entities seemed like a space-filler to me, but having watched them, its a nice way to get a Boosh-dose if you've only... Read review

...The Jungle Book video has been in our video collection for over two years. The cover has long been torn off the video box that is played on a daily basis in my house. I can hand the white box to my son and he knows it is The Jungle Book video. The only thing that took some getting used to was the voice of Sterling Holloway as the snake Kaa. We have come to love him as the voice of Winnie the Pooh. At the end of the video, is a clip of the story behind the making of The Jungle Book and the discussion on Walt Disney choosing the voice of the characters and he had the final say in the ending of the video. This is the last video that he was involved with and it is a good one. He died before it was completed.
