"On any given sunday, a legend will fall, and on any given sunday, a hero will rise." The very phrase that really made the trailer stand out from any others that were there, and is simply enough to give you a whole idea of what the film is about, and where it is going.
This is one amazing film, and although i am not american myself, i still find that it is one of the best. A great line up of actors and actresses, hold the fort in this masterpiece by Oliver Stone. There is of course the highly impressive talent of Cameron Diaz, to hold her own as the owner of a top american football team, who just aren't producing at the minute. Then there is the brilliance of Al Pacino, a true master, to take the managerial job of the team, who is finding that some things just don't work, and is losing control of life and the team. On top of this, there are appearances from the lesser know Jamie Foxx, who plays the "hero", and delivers a fantastic performance, that rivals the very best in Hollywood, and also the talent of LL Cool J, who also gives a good performance as a member of the team.
So, the story goes, that the team isn't playing as it should, as in they aren't winning. Then their fullback gets serioulsy injured in a incident on the field, and is sent out of the team for a while. Jamie Foxx's character is then the reserve fullback, who has never played a game in his life at this level. So, now for the hero part, he basically changes the plays on the field, and the team begin to win. But at what cost? The team begins to fall apart, with pressure on the manager to hold it together, and so he drops this "hero" and all is well, until the old fullback is injured again. Well, anyways you get the picture there, although it is difficult to really catch the true intensity of the film, through an article. The camera work, is simply terrific, with close up action on the field, and amazing stunts to hold the hold film together. It is a definite must see, although I feel that it is more orientated towards the american public, as it is a big game over there.

I agree, this is a well written and thought out review. Paragraphs are something people tend to get angsty about though. I've found that some blank lines between chunks of text make the review more user friendly.
