Imagine if you would, that we could link every communication machine together and be able to send any kind of data we want to any machine, pictures to mobiles, videos to computers and TVs and generally anything to anything. Advantages: One or two moments of intrigue, well researched Disadvantages: Poor acting, not enough suspense, not enough made of storyline.

Advantages: Good acting, Lots of twists, Lots of real code, no pretend computers etc Disadvantages: Product placement beyond a fanatic's wildest dreams, Nothing particularly new about the plot
...the film. However, Antitrust is much much simpler than the Matrix, and you don't actually have to be a computer nerd to enjoy it. If you are, you will probably identify a bit more with the characters and find certain bits quite funny. You will also be impressed by the real programming code showing up on the screens throughout. However, for those of us who are more interested in a good movie, there's plenty for us to enjoy too. However, Milo soon realises everything isn't as it should be (what a surprise) and uses his super techno-whizz skills to try and bring down Winston and co. and ...

Advantages: Good Acting Disadvantages: Very Average Film
Anti-trust is a very average techno thriller. It all starts when computer programmer Milo (Ryan Phillipe) is headhunted by NURV, a massive software company owned by Gary Winston (Tim Robbins). Once there he believes he may have sold his soul to the corporate devil. There are various suspicious goings-on and he enlists the help of his colleague Lisa (Rachael Leigh Cook) to find out what. But once his company realises what he’s up his life is ... ...modern film, yet there’s something rather old fashioned about it in a 70’s way about it all. Instead of the usual story line of the government being the sinister nemesis, this time it’s a Microsoft style company – and NURV is a suitably dumb name for the premise that the film is precariously balanced on. There are far too many unbelievable plot twists and ludicrous situations for this to be anything more than a film to watch ...
