Anthonys 70s disco workout. After reading all the views on how appauling it was i nearly didnt buy it, However i like to find out for myself as i noticed many views were not broken down or in detail. I also noticed many people seemed to be slamming it for being unprofessional so at 1.99 i wasnt worried if i lost my money.
I am glad i did this. The dvd is broken into sections. When i first put the dvd on the first section i must say is lame. The music i would not class as 70s and i wanted to know where were the words! I watched closey and yes anthony does not give you much direction, however the moves arent that hard if you are flexiable and arent ashamed of jumping around.
When we get onto the second section-- yeahhh the music is on. Not that high in the background but on and if you take this dvd light hearted- i bet you could have fun with it.
What i think most people find disappointing is the lack of instruction and the look is not professional. This is true sometimes the dancers are out of step, sometimes Anthony starts a move and the others follow a second or two later. It is obvoius from the beginning of the dvd that this is shot in one go and hasnt been edited well because it has left the mistakes in. I dont worry about this as he isnt professional is he!
One of the sections shows a dancer gritting her teeth smiling through the dance- so obvious she is tired i found it funny that they all looked exhausted. In many other workout dvd- because they are done and edited in sections the professionals do not look tired- But in Anthonys they do.
What i advise is if you are looking for a well structured workout with professionals then this is not the dvd for you. If you want instructions and are not prepared to look like an idiot when trying new moves then again this dvd is not for you. If you expect to be able to do all the moves in one go then again this is not the dvd for you.
however when i tried this dvd because i had watched it first i found it relatively easy. You have to really get into the moves or you wont be tired.
The faults are bad angles at times- mis match of step- Anthony starting steps and realising hes messed up bad sound for music. Anthony looks like he isnt in tune with the music at times as he is rigid. Sometimes it all looks exaggerated and not enjoyed by the people. They do sit ups with no matts and litle instruction.
Like i said above if you are wanting a light hearted workout then this is alright. It is not the best i am sure and certainly not professional. I usually buy a dvd workout, try it once or twice then it becomes a chore. I found i enjoyed this as even my kids joined in and we pranced around happily. So again if your are light hearted yourself love to dance around what ever you look like with or without your kids then this dvd is for you. If you are a busy mum and dad who dont want to spend an hour doing fitness once the kids are in bed because you are already exhausted then i reccommend this. I reccommend that you watch it first or it is likely to irritate especially if you want to keep up. What i would reccommend is that you dont pay over £5 for this dvd is then you will be annoyed at the content. I have seen some sell this for £18- i bought it for £1.99 plus £1.25 postage. So shop around for a good deal.
